stay calm NistingurA ! hes only asking what the ideas are, not demanding them finished right this second.

as it happens, I'm quite curious too. But having followed this thread since its inception, I know both how much hard work has been done and how life is currently causing some frustrations for Slayersen.

By the way Slayersen, you rock! I hope things are getting better for you

I honestly don't know quite yet, I also don't plan to work on it right away because after the A-Class I plan to work on 2 smaller spin off mods of cars real quick as a break in between.

He is currently not working on the track and not much has been done to it so you wouldnt get very interesting screenshots...

As for the b / c class i think he said hes going to work on those after the A class is finished.

    Sort of the tiers being A class gt1 B class gt2 C class gt3.

i would sacrifice the normal bolide never being in the game again if it ment we could get this :) seriously i want this mod done more than anything else on the forums combined. i would offer to help if i had any bloody clue what i was doing when it comes to programming in this game, but that isnt the case sadly.

I have changed my original plans.

Due to the fact that I feel the car is only in an Alpha like state when the A-Class reaches a beta I will indeed release it for the public.

The B/C cars will all come out on their own in time.

I don't feel it's necessary to make them all release at the same time.

Not much progress has been made to the car in the last couple days due to issues getting the roll cage quite right.

I can't really add much, except it honestly being astonishing work.

Looking at the picture of the class A, the only question that might arise is why it doesn't have even bigger wheels in the rear, although I certainly realise that's purely personal preference. But wouldn't that be fitting for the time period it is set in? The 70ies did have some disproportionately oversized rear wheels because it looked cool (or ridiculous, that's arguable) and it was kind of "in".

Not exactly a request as much as giving a potential idea you could utilise if it's up to your liking. Then again, it's definitely a lot of work (remodelling fenders).

That wouldn't require alot of work as it would alot of time.

I would have to scrap nearly everything I've done to tune the rear suspension again.

    This would be unnecessary.

In the jbeam I've made both tires the same size diameter and width.

Visually the rear tires are wider.

I only did this as I need wide front tires as well to keep it in a straight line in the physics which still doesn't coop with the 900nm under the rear wheels so good, in it's current state it is very touchy in low-speed corners which is realistic but it the front end slowly begins to swerve left to right in straights which isn't so realistic. :(

Sigh, I don't understand how rollcages in beam work... it just doesn't make sense, every time I try to do mine it bends the interior slightly too much or it is unstable.

it all just seems to be a bunch of beams reinforcing the cockpit in different directions.

Well, I'd say that they both have the same meaning in that context. You'd need to adjust a lot of the jbeam, and that would be, by my definition, work. Perhaps I could modify it once I learn how to jbeam suspension properly. :D

Anyways, I'm thrilled to race this vehicle with KB. Yes, you said it's uncontrollable, but I beg to differ.

if i were you i would listen to SlayerSen. i know what the car is like as i have been speaking to him and know that the car is highly uncontrollable. even with a controller it is difficult. just saying :)

heres what i do for rollcages. say we have a square with a slanted front
    1.png
what i do is i leave the top nodes(n4,n5,n6,n7) alone. I then name all the bottom nodes to the name of the cars floor nodes that are closest.
    2.png
then delete the nodes in the node section of the rollcage jbeam that you renamed, but keep all the beams that you renamed to goto that node. finally add a flexbody group to those floor nodes for your cage. so like this. we do this to make sure that that part of the rollcage deforms properly.
    Code:
    ["exampleNode", -0.78, -0.84, 0.93{"group":["carbody","rollcage"]}]

Trust me when I say the 900NM under this vehicle's rear end causes some odd straight line stability issues, the front end is very floaty and boat like after 70mph, and really bad after 130mph in a straight line, keyboard control is literally impossible at the moment, it is very hard to corner without basically stepping off the throttle 60% of the time on KB when entering the corner you'll be tapping it alot and going really slow compared to better more sophisticated controller methods..

    Cough, Cough, ALPHA.

In the future could people please quote my alias as "Slayersen" vs "SlayerSen"

One more thing concerning big rear wheel'd race cars in the 70s..

This car is designed to be made in the mid 80s.

    Hell, no.

This thread is far from dead.. 1 week of nothing isn't enough to kill a thread.

    2-4+weeks is more like it..

Also I've just been taking a break like "CookieGamer" said.

I have been slowly returning to modding stuff which is generally how I reenter the modding scene and come back to mods, the longest part of time I've spent gone was 1-3 months, which i refuse to let happen as it is far from where I want my racecar to go.

I just haven't been in the mood to spend hours working, reworking, scrapping and starting over ect, with the rollcage.

Also, I have been coming back every day to see if people are posting.
