Rather happily I'm branching out of symphonic black metal, so really all i'm seeing is Catamenia type speed and enjoying the new feels. I have come across Ensiferum... and I'm not so sure they're THAT similar.
Wow. There's a thunderstorm right now and there's a house on fire, whole roof is gone, but it's been put out mostly.
I'm have a ESC lying around, replaced it because i thought it was broken, but turned out my servos confused the ESC... so if you want it just msg me. It's a Velineon for the E-Revo VXL 1:16.
Maybe it wasn't Ensiferum, lol. I get confused sometimes with metal because so many genres sound so much the same across every band within. Doom is probably the worst with everyone sounding like Black Sabbath, Sleep, Electric Wizard, etc. Last winter I was on a tech (black) metal kick. Which is hard to find but also how I came across Njiqahdda. I find it really hard to enjoy a lot of metal anymore because it is so samey. I'm sure it happens in every genre but it's stupid, bands, musicians and composers shouldn't try to sound like those that influence them. Use their influence to make your own sound. Sadly however that doesn't seem to happen very often especially in metal.
That is fair enough... for me... being a historical reenactor it just feels right to be drumming along to Amon amarth with swords in the passenger seat of my car XD. Besides, many of the melodies present in metal just hype me the hell up. I adore it XD
Just signed up for the (possible) NFS 2015 beta tester thing. If you don't know what I mean :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fekvP4c49N0
THat origin test program has been there a long time, it is not simple beta testing. It is for gathering *actual* game testers. Ie, people that will indeed sit there and crash a specific car into a corner of a track 1000 times and then write a report on what happens. WTF was he playing anyway? Whatever it is, remind me to not touch it with a bargepole.
He was plaing NFS Rivals. Just made this my macro for M5 on my keyboard "Next time you want to suggest a vehicle please refer to this thread : Vehicle-Suggestions" That way I won't have to type it myself when someone makes a thread suggesting a single vehicle again.
well at least it's not nfs hot pursuit 2010 customization (on hot pursuit 2010 you could only change color of car no vinyls or nothing). But yea rivals is definitely not my favorite nfs. its also capped at 30 fps on pc.
You can remove the cap and let it run at 60 through a cheat-y way, but if your PC can't handle the 60FPS and drops to 45FPS the game will run at 75% speed.
Is Criterion Games like.. a flipping joke or something? do they have no respect for PC players? why do they do this?! to piss people off?! its EXTRA work to make it 30fps and its even MORE WORK to make the animations work with the FPS. I hate it when devs do this, its an absolute joke to the community, and they wil make less money by making a game run wose, it really hurts their reputation. - - - Updated - - - Also, like the latest batman, they have a benchmarking system that goes over 60fps... but when you're in game its 30. I'm starting to think people are forgetting how to make fun video games.
Its not always more work to cap to 30fps. Many games have the physics tied to the refresh rate and if that is the case it is far easier to put a 30fps cap on the game. They shouldn't have tied the physics to the frame rate in the first place but a cap is far easier for them. I imagine most ports are done by separate teams rather than the original engine coders so its probably not a choice for those doing the port especially if time constraints are in place. Im not sure what you are saying about animations, i dont think it is more work to make the animations run at 30fps.
Right, for example, Skyrim had (has?) it's physics tied to framerate a bit. If you hit something like 120fps it gets weird. Criterion is one of the better car game makers out there. They made burnout then were bought by EA and merged into the main studio and went on to make Hot Pursuit (2010), Most Wanted (2012), Rivals (the only really bad one), Battlefield Hardline (mostly by Ghost though), and are working on a new IP away from EA that has cars, ATVs, trucks, wingsuits etc. Looks good.
I paid $100 on the PSN store to get NFS Rivals, worst decision I've ever made :| I bought it because fuckin GameSpot said it was really good and 8/10 That was the last time I ever watched a GameSpot review.
