I like the Murano except for the hideous black C-pillar. A failed Range Rover/MINI Cooper/Citroën C4 Cactus-style-floating-roof-lookalike? Edit: I also hate the little black triangle in front of the side mirrors. Besides that, nice car.
I like the rear pillar design but the car will have little rear visibility because of current design trends with huge rear pillars. They will be there to make people feel safer, people see cars with chunky designs and seem to immediately assume they are safer, while more metal certainly helps its not the be all and end all especially in the rear pillars. I dont mind the black plastic in front of the mirrors, they do it to allow the window shape to appear to terminate in a point while still allowing space to place the mirrors. One thing that does cause concern to me is the rest of the pillars. Having the plastic bits like that with a flat face looking forward causes wind turbulence on the pillars, when traveling at motorways speeds you will be able to hear that. Our I40 has a similar design in that respect and when sitting in the back it can be heard if you are within 15cm from the interior part of the pillar. Just had a look at the product page. It only does 24mpg at best lol. You Americans... I think the closest we get in the UK (and most of the world) is the Qashqai and the most efficient model gets 64mpg. There is also the UK X-Trail which gets 57mpg. (All figures are quoting the combined values)
Again I have found some ..., don't know how to describe The first two pictures show the beauty of the Toyota ViLL VI. Two manufactures tried to improve the crash safety, no success. So it was taken off the market. The orange car is the Toyota WiLL Cypha. Sorry if you are blind now.
Lit looks like a Range Rover Evoque that was rescued from a fire. There isn't one angle that I think it looks good at, and it's even worse in person. But, opinions differ, I guess. I do like the shapes of the windows though.
for all the Taurus haters out there....(also its in my name so fuckin aye right? lol) besides the SHO, which holds a special spot in a lot of people's hearts, the Taurus, in gen-3 form, was certainly not a total looker, and not even the best performing car out there, but there is a reason why nearly 8,000,000 were sold from 1986 thru 2007....plus, the new ones are obviously amazing in mostly every way. So I personally think the Taurus is a beautiful car. not from every angle, but it always holds a soft spot in my heart. I have owned about 10 different models of the Taurus/Sable/Montego/500/TaurusX/Freestar/Montery/Continental within my family. THey are rock solid, dependable, and frankly quite comfortable, get decent gas mileage, and can handle all the abuse you can throw at them. Except for the Vulcan Pushrod 3.0 they stuck in them from the early 90's thru till 2005. They ere terrible, except the sound without an airbox was sexy
Oh god, those taillights. - - - Updated - - - The Renault Trafic, I see them every time I go to Europe, The bulge above the cabin ruins it. (imported from here)
do those "enviromentalists" still buy those shitboxes. yes I don't really like Prius I find them stupid since it creates a carbon footprint bigger than a full-sized American pickup yet people think their eco friendly. I sometimes see myself like a young Jeremy Clarkson. I don't realy hate hybrids heck I would own a Honda CRZ if I could.
Everything front door and ahead I think is fine, or would be if the car perhaps wasnt quite so tall, just a tad shorter should do. Its not pretty, but far from ugly. The rear doors and its arse, fucking hideous.
*semi-sarc incoming* You can tell the Prius is the devil's work, why, well, things don't stay the same. They get better and better, or worse and worse. The Prius gets worse. It's gone from odd, to ugly, to, admittedly, a slight improvment, to... just what were they smoking when they made that hunk of junk.
Citroen Ami 6 Ford Edsel (obvious one really) Ford Falcon AU XR6 Ford Scorpio (many people think this face is very frog-like) Wolseley Hornet (Take a cute mini, put fins on the rear and a large chrome grille on the front, and fill it with leather and wood) Nissan Almera (Nissan: "We need a wagon (estate) version, and do it quick" - engineers: "Guess we could just tack this bit on the back of the hatchback model, yeah that'll do") Austin Allegro Equipe - Sorry but no model draped over this could get anyone interested in this 70's styling disaster! No idea (Make/model & designer!) Also no idea but looks East Germany / Russia - looks like a Trabant merged with something amphibious Many more I can think of but feel bland cars are not ugly enough to be in this list, Clarkson said it perfectly in that those cars are like a Fridge or a Washing Machine, they are white goods for the road!
I really hate the front end to be honest. I think modern JDM needs to stop where it is, back up & take the other road. Its like they reached a fork in the road & decided to take the road to ugly town. They are to complicated looking, one thing I did love about old JDM is the simplistic yet striking designs.
