thats the point of the PCIe riser, you're dremelling a cutout to mount the GPU *within* the case and then using a riser cable in order to plug it into the old slot.

RIP my dreams of a 340€ i5 2500k and 560Ti with a good PSU and no Seagate HDD. Somebody picked it up before I had enough cash to even think about it.

You would not believe how many floppy drives I've owned over the years. Heck, I had 5 of them a month ago.

Now, the one SINGLE time I need one, don't have any. I've literally been looking for some for the entirety of August, haven't found a single one.

    :/

I had the same issue with DVI cables :p

    Ah, didn't know that.

Anyways, I picked up the R7 240 yesterday. When I wanted to download the driver, internet went down because the internet provider was dealing with a DDOS attack :p

Beamng should work alot better on an ssd than it did on a HDD hopefully.

Zero impact on my laptop except load times, which I can deal with. Moved it back to HDD.

Everything loads faster, from maps to vehicles :)

I'm surprised how well the R7 240 performs for the price I got it for (25 bucks!).
It plays GTA V on normal settings in 720p around 40 fps.

It isn't in any way a gaming card but for 1080p60 video and simple games it is perfectly fine.

Yeah I didn't get it for just beamng though, I always filled my 120gb OS drive no matter what I did so I decided I may as well upgrade and save myself the bother of deleting stuff 24/7. Besides they are far better for general use outside of games, such as Photoshop files which can take like 2 mins to save on a HDD only takes a few seconds on SSD.

Ahhhhhhhh, NO gigabyte mobos... I had one and it blew up on me and my buddy had one and it did the same. Never ever will I buy another one of their mobos again.

As for a cheap microphone I just use some cheapo plug into the side of a laptop one with an extension on it and a small binder clip and it's a nice lapel mic.

I have a Gigabyte AMD board. It's okay IMO. Could have done better, but I don't hate it.

I have the US ducky 60% and it's lovely. Green switches FTW. MMMMMMM so nice. Although there are some games I can't play anymore because they require the arrow keys and to use them it requires I press the FN key which will make the other keys do other things too.

I got a 480GB Sandisk SSD a little bit back. Some people considered it a waste of money, but I love it. It's a massive upgrade over my 2009 seagate 1.23TB 7200rpm.

After being in use for ~8 months it's got 290 of 447GB used and is still over 99% life. Well over 4TB of writes.

Well, mine took my processor and ram with it when it died. My fried was more fortunate but now his HDD isn't seen properly as a boot device so his z98 won't load bios.

Were you using a cheap one or something? Mine's a 970A-UD3P. Not the best, not the worst. Certainly has caused less frustration than my old MSI board. (Which I sold to Potato last year, who still hasn't gotten it working. Heh.)

I don't think so, I don't remember what it was due to it being back in 2010. I've been on ASUS ever since and it has been problem free. *knocks on wood*

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128380 This was it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131621 And this is what I replaced it with.

Got my quickfire TK in browns now. Very happy with it.

Not a fan of greens or blues. Clears and browns only for me.
