So after getting frustrated with my retro PC only turning on intermittently and not working right I took a break to work on my HP server. I replaced the shitty, corrupting, OS breaking 64GB Corsair boot SSD with the 50GB OCZ SSD from my laptop after I put a 120GB in that. Anyway, it turns on but no video. Fucking hell. Nothing works except my main rig which has been going strong for a year now with no hardware changes. Even my PS2 won't turn on.
My brother has browns on his full size ducky and they are nice but I like the greens more. He just has a wonky connection because the port on his keyboard is messed up and will randomly disconnect it. Usually at the worst moment in a game.
Well the greens have the heavy spring dont they, you would perhaps be better off with clears rather than browns as they also are heavier spring, although not as heavy as a green. For me. The extra click of a blue/green is non desirable, but the tactile feel is a must.
And my main PC just randomly BSODDed. Fucking hell. Also Windows 10 boots super slow compared to Windows 8.1. (Probably takes close to a full minute to get to login.)
The clears are similar to the greens but I don't mind the click and since I just got this keyboard at the end of june it's not going away anytime soon. I might tell my bro to look at the clears when he decides to replace his keyboard because he might like them over blue or green because of their similarity to the browns he currently uses.
I get boot times so fast that the little spinny circle of smaller circles won't even display. I love SanDisk SSD's.
Does anyone know which components usually sell for cheap, but offer a noticable upgrade from a C2D? (Except C2Q's)
Mine spins twice and boots, a little faster than 7 but i cant say for 8. Thats seems to boot fast even on old laptops with HDD's, so i don't imagine 10 is any different.
850 Pro installed, along with a clean Windows 10 installation. Loving Win10, and the SSD is wonderfully fast as well.
New you can get an Athlon 860K. Used you can get an i5 750/760 or i7 860/70/80 under 100$, which are still better than a 860K. The problem is getting an 1156 motherboard. Look a this great review from Techspot, they used an A10 7870k as one of the references, which is basically a 860K slightly overclocked. http://www.techspot.com/article/1039-ten-years-intel-cpu-compared/page5.html Another option is a Pentium G3258, but it is a double-edged sword with its unstable framerate almost unplayable in some games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8raedKqKB7I The only way that I would recommend the G3258 is if you will change your CPU next year for something better like an i5 4440. Something that you cant do with a FX 6300 (AM3+) or 860/870K (FM2+). I guess you already have a C2D, I would give a shot buying a modified Xeon E5450 that should work on your 775 motherboard as long as your chipset is compatible: That CPU equals to a Q9650 with lower TDP and it is easier to OC. for 35$ worth the shot. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-...l-to-LGA775-Core-2-Quad-Q9650/2052092778.html
Does anyone know if the Logitech Driving Force EX works with BeamNG? I can get one pretty cheap on eBay. The listing says it's compatible with PS2, PS3 and PC, so I guess there is a USB adapter or something Also where can I get the drivers? I briefly looked on the logitech website and there were some drivers and support threads there. Thanks OR - Can somebody tell me what adapter this wheel uses... It is going really cheap but it has no power adapter. They think it's a 9 volt but I searched and all I could find was 24v... So if anyone can tell me how many volts it should be that would be great
Probably going to a prebuilt FX 8350 machine, and putting my PSU and GPU in it, because I have a rather good PSU and a R7 250x vs iGPU on the MB.
Dont buy the FX 8350, you're better buying the FX 8320 instead, you just have to overclock it, that shouldn't even be called overclock, you just have rise the multiplier a bit until match the FX 8350, you probably won't have to touch voltages for that. By the way, always use a good motherboard with proper heatsinked Mosfets for a 8350/8320, (At least the GA-970A-DS3P) if you're willing to OC more. otherwise pick the FX 8320E which has a 95W TDP.
That's odd, the difference is 20$ in other countries. How much is the 8320E there? Also the 8310. By the way your avatar reminds me to this:
