    Hello all
i was just thinking that bans are not that effective unless they are ip. reason for that is that the banned person can be a guest and still download mods.

If ip bans are done, couldn't they just circumvent it by using a VPN? but i guess it will cause more work on their end perhaps deterring a few pirate's.

A forum ban revokes posting privileges for troublesome users. It's just to shut them up; I don't think it's supposed to stop them from downloading.

I have been down the ban road before when I was banned It completely ruined the whole game for me since mods are the essence of the game.

allowing guests to download mods was a good idea.

Online bans are never effective. There's never not a way to circumvent it. All they can do is keep getting in your way temporarily until you get bored.

There's literally no reason to care about being banned now that mods are opened up for download.

    Great move, guys.

If you need to "ban" someone just block their MAC number. They can change it, but only if they know what's preventing them from accessing the forum.

Total rubbish. I'll keep this brief because I know 6677 can answer much better than I can. MAC addresses are a LAN thing, nothing to do with the Internet. Each MAC address is stripped and changed with every hop upstream, so your PC's MAC address never makes it further than the hub it connects directly to.

Don't post things you're clueless about.

I prefer home brand tampons as they have a perfect balance between price and comfort.

The very reason I believe the downloads or Drive forums should have stayed closed. But who am I? I don't even own the game yet cause bills are takin over my life, so yeah, probably never will own it cause I'm poor. :(

Of course banned people should still be able to download mods. And besides, it's always fun to see all the stupid shit people post from time to time.

Who regularly shitposted, and expressed his disdain for the forum age requirements while being under age. Get rid. Maybe there is more too but it was inevitable.
