Nobody seems to understand that if you drive using a keyboard, you are flooring the gas pedal. Sports car doesn't have enough grip? Stop flooring it and expecting it to dirve straight and corner at 100mph.

you need to remember the covet is FWD, the wheels are pulling the body, the body essentially acts like a trailer. if you want to understeer it, don't use the throttle on a corner. Accelerating around a tight corner is a surefire way to make any car kick the arse out. The covet to me handles a lot like my Panda, the rear wheels only have so much grip to give without the engine sitting on-top of them :p

Bullshit. Sports cars during the 80's could not have been this ridiculously terrible. The Bolide just sucks at handling, it's a great car otherwise but it flies off the handle once you apply even the slightest throttle.

Once the car is hooked up and going, you should be able to go full throttle without the car sliding off to the side--which it does anyway. The Bolide as is can barely get to 60 before sliding, which is patently ridiculous.

It's half poor driving skill and half the tire model's fault. No need to get so hostile. We have been trying to improve the tires for months before release without success. It may be a fundamental flaw with node/beam tires that we can't fix.

Still, the car is not that hard to drive. Don't floor it constantly and you won't have any problems.

Yeah, sorry. Maybe BeamNG is just much more realistic than the racing sims I normally play. In most racing sims even the most powerful car can still stay straight once it's hooked up and you floor it. But I guess BeamNG is more representative of a car that's not built for racing.

I don't mean to disparage the game, by the way, I love it to death and it's eating away so much of my time it's crazy. ;)

The Bolide feels a lot like the Lotus '49 F1 car in pCARS in terms of grip loss while accelerating. I'm guessing that's due to them both having wide, non-slick, rear tires without any form of traction control. IDK what year the Bolide is meant to be from though.

Other than that I think most people just don't feel how fast they're going, 25mph on poorly kept 1 lane roads is pretty much the limit for safety.

I think this is what throws a lot of people off. The roads in the game are really bad; narrow and damaged. This creates a pretty dangerous driving experience especially with faster vehicles.
