I had 8 guinea pigs at the start of the school holidays, I started with 4, one buggered another, then had 8, had them for 3 years, but at the end of the school holidays... I had 3. 2 babys, 1 from the original group. It horrible to lose a pet :(

In other news, I've been playing the crap out of my ps2 emulator, I'd love to play it on og hardware, but I'm edgy with buying old products on ebay D: and plus I'm not paying $50 + $21 shipping for a ps2 when I can get games for free on an emulator with 3x resolution scaling :D

There is one really annoying problem tho, its edgy with 3x resolution scaling, it either runs fine, or it slows down to 12fps and I have to wait or restart the game to fix it, and sometimes I have to scale back down to 2x to finish a race in Gran Turismo 4 (I'm downloading 3 just for good old times :D) I can live without 3x resolution scaling and just leave it on 2x, but trust me, anything looks better than 600x400 resolution :D

True, but in being surrounded even partly let alone mostly by water, it is closer to being an island than most places the average joe would be familiar with, thus making it 'like an island'. And if you really want to get technical, the primary landmass to which the peninsula is attached is almost certainly surrounded on all sides by water, making the peninsula (at least part of) an island.

    Behold, logic.:p

I've also been playing with an emulator, I got Star Fox: Adventures and Twilight Princess working at 3x native + 4x AA + 16x AF on Dolphin 5. Star Fox: Adventures works like a charm, it looks gorgeous at 1080p60FPS, Twilight Princess isn't so nice, the game's clock is bound to the framerate so it's either 29.94 FPS or double speed.

I don't really like Twilight Princess, by all the hype generated by the nintendo fanboys I thought it would be fun and deep, but it's just awkward gender-inspecific Link bumbling around until he accidentally saves the world. Some of the ways to progress are just illogical: to get a slingshot, I have to return a cat to the shop lady, to get the cat, I have to catch a fish, to catch a fish I need a fishing rod, to get a fishing road I have to get back a stroller, to get back the stroller I have to PLAY MUSIC WITH GRASS. Oh yeah, that was my first guess.

I was however, impressed with Star Fox: Adventures. Star Fox is shoe-horned into the plot as a corporate mascot, and the rest of the story is just baaaaaaaaad. It's like they took the original story, which didn't have star fox in it, and made the intern re-write it in an hour to make sense. Now we have an icon of sci-fi spaceships wielding a bow staff in the jungle. Otherwise, the rest of the game is excellent. Especially the animations, which are flawless. Remember how Rockstar made a big deal about Euphoria, how characters dynamically move and whatnot? This is better. The animations are smoother and look better but the game plays very quick, unlike how moving in GTA IV is essentially careening Nico about like he's one of the boaty cars he spends so much time in. It has good music and unlike most games of the era it's not illogically difficult to understand where to go.

I never bothered with dolphin, but it sounds pretty great. I'd love to play some smash at 1080p.
What kind of specs do you need to run it? I've heard AMD cards suck at it.

I dunno, but it's heavy on both GPU and CPU. Also, if you have an SSD, put the ISO on there. It'll stutter if it's on a HDD, which is very strange considering it thinks it's on a compact disk.

Anyway, you can choose between OpenGL and DX11, although I recommend OpenGL, it never gives you any trouble. Make sure to get the latest version, not the latest dev version, you want 5.0 RC19. There's also a lot of settings to play with, and a few you need to toggle either on or off for certain games. Dolphin has a huge wiki for every GC and Wii game and the settings you need to use.

Oh, also: It's very easy to do, no matter how complicated it seems. Download ISO, open with Dolphin, change some settings, bind controls to either keyboard or set up a controller (works flawless, btw) and start it up.

Currently running what is quite possibly the most broken Windows install of all time... Somewhere along the line the HD had a failure and broke a bunch of stuff but didn't conveniently missed all critical system files; as a result I've been noticing random things that have just... stopped working. Windows takes several minutes to start up, DLLs are missing, etc. Issues began appearing in Windows 7, upgrading to Windows 10 fixed some of them but not a significant amount, sfc /scannow doesn't work, chkdsk absolutely shat itself. I've been hesitant to do a reinstall because the server I store my backups on has been experiencing some technical issues and is running extremely slowly.

SSD is coming in the mail tomorrow, gonna do a complete reinstall and download all of my programs separately and grab personal data from my server.

    Whew.

So due to Australia's major downpour of rain in the last 48 hours, this dam in Sydney is over flowing :p

I started Thursday off by shooting my self in the head with my gun and added more support to my No Limits Simulator 2 Jet Coaster. I haven't used my foam pee rocket yet today.

I just went out for a jog and encountered an old woman who had fallen over whilst taking her bins out & couldn't get up. Im not going to lie I've never been prouder of myself :p

After I helped her up she held my hand for about 30 seconds just saying thank you. I also took her bin out for her.
