wrong school mate its Central Hawkes bay College (but that was my old primary school) I have been gone for a legitimate reason as I have lost my grandfather so I have been missing a lot of classes so my life is bit of a mess at the moment. I try to ignore him but that will make matters worse. he knows me personaly so I will see what I can do.

assuming you mean the stovetop: turn the dial to ignite, you should here a clicking noise, it should ignite the propane in a few seconds if not, then turn off, then try again (or there might also be a button you push in a few times while the dial is set to ignite) if you actually meant the oven, then no idea, i've only ever used electric or convection ovens

Depends on the controls. On my over there is a button called "bake" you press it and turn a dial to the temp you want and it will beep when it's ready. I've seen others with just a more mechanical dial you turn to a temperature and it will turn on and has a light or something to tell you when it's ready. Maybe a picture of the control panel could help us help you.
