They've had a one child policy for over 30 years. I wouldn't recommend saying "China please use condoms that are of good quality" when you know almost nothing about China or condoms.

Also, this video is one of the reasons that I hate anyone who does this.

    Thank you!
My question is: Why would you want a truck that can belch out smoke, when you can have a car that does burnouts? They can make smoke clouds that are just as spectacular, and also leave a coal-rolling truck in the dust.
    Stupid rednecks...

In america, they do it for fun. In Turkey, people do this because diesel is very expensive. So, they put some kind of oil-burnable chemicals and diesel mixture in their trucks. It's all black smoke and horrible smell. But, some of them uses used cooking oils. So, when they go from somewhere... Uhm, i don't know but... Eh, it smells like someone is frying some french fries :D So, they putting oil, and that thing is very bad for the engine. It reduces the engine life of trucks 15-10 to 2 years.

Running vegetable oil through a diesel engine is not detrimental at all and in fact Rudolph Diesel Designed his engine to run on multiple fuels including vegetable oil but NOT including diesel. Do a little research before you spew drivel as facts.

Every single person that rolls coal on purpose deserves a few dozen bullets in the chest. From the back.

Thank god I haven't seen any of these idiots around Western New York. I don't think the farmers and "rednecks" are quite that red here.

For the record, it's people like this that make me keep a crow bar in my Miata. Also, like hell that's all the Miata's got. Very few of these "coal rollers" are actually high HP trucks. Most are just made to run ridiculously rich. Even if they could outrun me, they'd immediately roll the next corner with their totally cool non-offroad lift kits.

Edit: Also, may I mention I live in Florida. No emissions test=too many of these things around

I don't wuite get why you want trucks like that either, except for fun and power, but I know a couple people that have trucks that can do that, and they are nice people, and I do know rednecks that are not that way, that really is a generalized statement.

Those trucks can also make for neat photo ops. (my pic):

    Rant:
LOL... Sorry about the bump. Just saw this thread and couldn't bite my tongue. A lot of generalizations going on here.

I can assume I'd be categorized as a "Redneck", which then puts me as "idiot, douche bag, MASSIVE douche bag, deserve bullets"...etc.
I find it hysterical how opinionated you guys are on something you clearly are very uneducated about. I mean, come on now, typically
you guys are on top of shit with a google search to disprove something said on here.

Let me start by saying I agree with some of your points. A lot of these "Rednecks" do install equipment, per say, to make their rig
run rich to "Roll Coal". A lot of various hacky ways to make a diesel do that. The most common method is known as a "smoke switch". Essentially,
you tap into a wire on your map sensor, that fools your ECU into thinking the turbo is at full boost, therefore pushing full fuel. This method
can be very detrimental to a diesel engine. It's something that is EXTREMELY frowned upon here in the diesel community. Do yourselves
a favor and google search "smoke switch cummins" or something along those lines. You'll probably come across plenty of cumminsforum.com
links along with various other diesel forums. Typically, you will see members hop in the poster's ass. I can assure you guys it's strongly
disapproved by the majority of the diesel community. I personally hate the reputation we receive because of assholes who do so. Just to be clear.
Me, like the majority of diesel owners, make a very expensive and extensive effort to add power, while keeping our rigs as clean as possible
in the streets. Rolling Coal is the least bit of our motivation.

And drop you're stupid fucking stereotypical bullshit. Some pretty strong words coming from ignorant 15-yr olds on here. (I say 15 in hope somebody older wouldn't say such stupid shit)
I personally hate JDM, but I try to respect other folks builds, and their taste of styling and performance. I don't tell the 17-yr old with the overly
obnoxious fart-can on his dope Civic that he deserves 12 bullets in the back, or to fuck off. Now, black smoke that impairs vision done by intention,
I can agree that the driver of that rig, is indeed a douche bag and shouldn't own a diesel. Just lay off your insults and WIDE generalizations.
Generally, folks that drive like that are about as "redneck" as I am black.(I'm very Caucasian,... and not racist BTW. No need for more generalizations).

Why do I own a diesel? You guessed it, I'm one of the gun-totin', tobacco-spittin', douche bag-idiots who drives them rowdy, coal-rollin', Satan machines around.

First and foremost, fuel efficiency and longevity:
That's right, my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins gets pretty darn good MPG's. Stock, I consistently got 18+ MPG's combined driving with a heavy foot.
Compared to the same model year pickup with the V8 Magnum gas engine, which gets 14+ driven easy. You already know a diesel's more fuel efficient than a petrol engine.
    (#210,000kandcounting)

    Secondly, torque at low RPM:
You probably knew this. #bigboytowing. So, I'll move on. (Or not because I,m getting sick of this rant)

I love diesels because I can tow hefty loads, run 14's in a 1/4 mile, achieve 22+ MPG's daily-driving, all while having 210,000 Miles under the hood.

Essentially, what this rant comes down too is: Educate yourselves, understand "coal rolling" is frowned upon by the diesel community, which directly correlates with stupid generalizations, soooo... keep them to yourselves.

And yes my rig is HIGHLY modded. I, like many other modded diesel owners try to keep our soot on the track. It's a hobby and an addiction like any real car-guy will understand. Respect my car builds, like I would yours.

    Sincerly,

    Douche-baggy, Proud 'Murican "Redneck

Think I might have just made a new friend.

Lets hear about this 24 Valve or yours.

I've got two diesel trucks at the moment, One of which I'm trying to sell. a 94 2wd Ram 3500 12 valve 5 speed with 156,000 miles. I just recently drove this truck out of the mud and weeds, it has sat for roughly the last 7-8 years without a bed, and hadn't been started since late 2013. My dad bought this truck in 2005 when it had 98,000 miles, and was an SRW 3/4 ton. Mods on it, as far I can tell by receipts, paperwork, and what I can see, a set of 90 Horse injectors, a custom ground fuel plate, a BHAF, and of course the silencer ring removed. Among the paperwork I found with it, I found a dyno sheet from 2006, when the truck had 109,000 miles, first pull was 215 HP/495 TQ, last pull was 300 HP/800 TQ.
While I can't guarantee its still at any of those numbers today, It didnt take much to get it running after that much sitting, all the fluids still looked brand new in it.

Anyway, It drove itself out of where it had sank into the ground, I threw a cheap flatbed on it, and now It's just waiting on a new fuel filter, an oil change and a pair of new batteries.

    The other is a 94 4x4 7.3 IDI, with an E4OD Automatic.

I've had it since 2010, when it had 170,000 miles, since then it's been to Northern Ontario twice, the Gulf of Mexico, and lots of places in between. Up until last year it was my daily driver, when I got a new truck, a 95 Ram 1500 4x4 with a 360 that at the time had 73,000 miles.

(Ignore the mis-match wheels and fiberglass shell, thats all happened since it's been parked)

    (imported from here)

I'm trying to sell it right now, to fund getting the red Cummins back to what it used to be.

Fun Fact, (And keeping on-topic) Niether of those trucks have ever "Rolled Coal", The only time I've seen smoke from the green Ford truck was from going up a steep on-ramp with a 2900 lb camper in the back and with a Jeep on a trailer behind. The Cummins is a little smokier, but really to get it "Roll Coal", you have to trying to do just that.
And, first thing almost all the people I know say when they see either one, was "Doose it blow smoke man?!" Believe it or not, I find that really annoying.

About as annoying as every diesel truck here having 20 inch wheels, a 55 gal. drum for a tip, and blacked out lights.

No one's gonna assume you're a douchebag unless your truck has smoked headlights, 30 inch chrome wheels, and you lug it from 3rd at every stoplight just to produce a huge plume of smoke. Diesels are really cool when they're modded to make a lot of power, no one said they weren't.

Yes, coal power plants do pollute a lot, but that doesn't change anything on the fact that people who roll coal are assholes.

Good to see another diesel owner in here. Love the 12V.. Seems like you can get a good chunk of change that truck.
I actually learned to drive a stick(when I was way too young) in a 92 IDI. It was my grandpa's, non-turbo and that
thing could definitely puff some soot with a child trying to drive it LOL. Great truck though, he sold it just 2 years ago
with 350K.. still ran like a dream, at least for an old non-turbo.

Below is the ol' 24V. Sorry about the lights. They are not smoked, but a very nice set of Euro-style LED Spyders. I hate it when
people just throw some tint on their headlights too. Chrome bumper off a 4th Gen Ram, anything you see painted black was
done by the previous owner, as I would never do that. Only exterior mods I got on her. Was kinda trying to keep that
    junky-sleeper look.

A little history, bought the truck January of 2013 at a small local dealer. Looked kinda ridiculous, but a Cummins with 175K
for $6,500, I couldn't pass it up. Previous owner had an 8" inch stack coming off the stock 2.5" exhaust... Yes, douchy.
He also had a smoke switch. Thing ran like a tank, so I started returning it to stock. Got everything pretty much stock, but
like a typical Cummins with an Auto that's been mistreated, trans shit the bed at 180K. I rebuilt it myself with a kit. It lasted
another 7K miles before complete failure. Lacking dinero, and being frustrated, I parked her for 8 months and bought a 97' Jetta
TDi until I figured out what to do with the Cummins. Which leads me to the mods.

I really never planned on modding this bad boy, but in need of a transmission anyway, I decided I might as well make it a beast.
My first purchase was a Stage 5 fully built 48RE trans package from ATS Diesel here in Colorado. Cost a good bit more than the truck itself.
    Other mods:
    - 4" Straight-pipe exhaust, and yes its got a 7" tip. Mainly to lower the pitch and sound less obnoxious.
    - Edge Comp Box
    - S&B Cold Air intake
    - Stock turbo boost-fooled, reaches 35+ PSI(had an Aurora 5000 single setup, killed my injector pump and injectors, so I went back to stock lol)
    - ARP 625 Heads
    - Re-manufactured VP44(Pretty much stock)
    - Industrial Injection 150HP dragon fly injectors
    - FASS 150 Lift pump
    - Cracked dash(200HP)
That's essentially it as far as major mods.

Last time on a dyno was July of this year. 472 HP/1185 ft.lbs. Which hasn't changed.
August of this year, ran my personal best on the 1/4. 14.78@99MPH in 4WD on 315/75r16's. Pretty good for 7300lbs.

I also own the TDi Jetta mentioned. Been parked for a year after the clutch went out.
My first car was a '76 International Scout II with the 345 V8 that I bought from my grandpa
Recently purchased another 76' Scout with the Nissan 3.2L Diesel(Don't run yet)
Would post pictures of the other rides, but I work 12 hr. shifts, so I don't see much daylight.
I'll post some pics this weekend.

Those are some impressive numbers, But I bet I could match you with my Red truck if I cracked the dash, lol.

    (imported from here)

That truck has a completely crack free dash, the windshield is almost ruined, but there isn't one crack in the dash.
Although, the dash in the 95 half ton Dodge with 91,000 miles is broke into 5 pieces.

Kind of a neat fact on the green IDI, It was manufactured in the last week of production, before the Power stroke trucks came out.

Those factory diesel Scouts are some real unicorns, Hell of a thing to find, but finding parts for them has got to be a nightmare.
