The specs are good but the 750M doesn't really meet what I want. By comparison, the 960M in the Acer I linked is supposedly capable of playing GTA V at medium settings, 1080p and around 43FPS average.

If that's true than it's actually slightly worse than my 750.
I have everything except for textures on high/very high.
    Reflections are on ultra.
Things like FXAA and MXAA or whatever they were called are of though since they kill my GPU for some reason.
All of that is running via DX11 and using approx. 2GB of VRAM, or atleast it would be if I had that much.
It runs at 100+ FPS when I'm in stores and stuff like that and at 70 to 45 FPS when I'm driving around and doing stuff like that.
Something "extreme" like using explosive bullets with the mini-gun does drop the FPS down to 10 though.

I see. The 750M is rather a more powerful alternative for integrated graphics than a gaming GPU. :)

Here are a few that i found fairly quickly, have no idea if any of them are any good but they are all around or under your budget and have decent components.

This one has a 970m but is slightly overbudget: http://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/configurator/17in-gaming-laptop-geforce-970m-980m
    Under budget with 960m: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-218-AS&groupid=959&catid=1828
    Over budget with 970m: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-047-GI&groupid=959&catid=1828
Way way under budget with 950m: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-056-GI&groupid=959&catid=1828
    On budget with 960m: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-193-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828

There is this with a 965m (make sure you select the free upgrade): https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Fangbook_III_BX7-200/
    This one has 4k ips with a gtx965m: https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/FANGBOOK_EDGE_S_4K_Gaming_Notebook/

Now i have also found a GTX970 under budget but it has an I3 CPU, you can get it with the cheapest I5 they offer for directly on budget but it only has 4gb of ram as well: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/VortexIV-15/
This is basically the same thing but in a different case: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/octane-15/

But the gtx970 is dx12 so the CPU *should* in theory be less of an issue

Thanks for posting so many. Out of all of the ones you posted, this is probably the most ideal/comparable to the Acers I found.

I should've clarified that I'd prefer known brands, 15.6" and under 2.5KG if possible. This is the one out of the ones you linked that fit the criteria the best.

Are you sure you aren't talking about a GTX750 and not a 750M? We're talking about laptops here.

I guess my mum is unhappy with me at the moment, she always does that she hates it when I download stuff but mainly when I watch youtube videos this is mainly to do with us having rural broadband as we cant get unlimited (we only get 30gb a month plus 15gb when the 30gb runs out) the data plan barely lasts us.

Yep the telecommunication companies in my country are not that great.

    rant over-

oh yeah I love that 8x8-Heavy-utility-truck.

All of the brands that i posted are decent "known" brands. Scan laptops are a little more on the obscure side of things though.

For example cyberpower has been around for more than 15 years and is pretty well known: https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/awards/
They also offer 3 year guarantees on all computers and operate in both the US and UK, they also buy advertising space in magazines like PC Gamer very regularly (which MSI, corsair, scan and pc specialist as do as well).
The other brands are also good, just used them as an example.

Personally i would probably go with one of the cyberpower ones simply because you get a better GPU, but if its a little too big for you then you are probably right to ignore it.

What I'm looking for in terms of size is 15.6" or smaller, and either this sort of thickness:

    (imported from here)

Or a more standard laptop thickness as long as it's under 2.5KG. My current laptop is 2.4 and that's probably on the line of being awkward to carry constantly.

Most Cyberpower laptops are just basic Clevo machines. Cyberpower is notorious for being difficult to work with and shipping defective computers. I bought my laptop (which is also a rebranded Clevo) from XoticPC and it's been fine so far, had some driver issues at first but I worked them out.

If you're looking at Cyberpower, look elsewhere- there are computers made by Sager and other manufacturers on XoticPC that are as cheap (if not cheaper) and are not only the exact same computer internally and externally but are also from far more reputable brands.

Not surprised, you are in the only country other than the USA where the pharmaceutical companies can advertise their products. Also the telecomms in the Us also suck but not quite as hard as having hard limits like that. I think if they do have limits here they just throttle your speeds.

In general reviews seem fairly similar to any other brand. So notorious is probably pushing it a bit. Sager and XoticPC do not exist in the UK (outside of importing from the US but i dont recommend that).

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.pcspecialist.co.uk <-- They sell Clevo laptops, as seen here: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/laptop-computers/clevo-laptops/40/

As far as i can tell cyberpower must either use MSI as their supplier or they use the same suppliers as msi for their higher end laptops, for example this is the same as the MSI GT80Titan SLI: https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/FANGBOOK_III_XTREME_SLI_100/

Yes, I was talking about the desktop version.
Just wanted to point out that the 960m(?) would be worse than my 750 (if what you said is true)

But why does that matter? It's a laptop GPU, of course it's going to be slower than a very similar desktop GPU. The only laptop GPUs that come close to decent desktop ones are the 970Ms and 980Ms.

The 960m and 750ti are about equivelant
    The 965m is about 15% faster than a 750ti
The 970m is out of their league

In the heaven benchmark the score as follows (1080, normal tessalation with high shaders) [fps average]
    960m=56.2
    965m=66.3
    970m=93
This data is from notebook check.

So there is a fair difference between all of them with the 965m giving a bigger advantage than you may expect over the 960m.

Can anyone here recommend a model of laptop, which will be able to run BeamNG decently. (Sorry I do not have time to assemble or set up a server) so don't recommend getting a computer, because this is currently out of question.

I dont think anyone is going to recommend you get a dedicated server, those things are usually rack mounted and can get pretty loud as well as being not ideal for gaming. But you can use ANY computer be it rack mounted, desktop, laptop or a raspberry pi as a server anyway. Also a laptop is a computer. I am presuming that what you meant is you dont want a desktop computer? But even then you can get pre-builts that you dont have to assemble yourself anyway, you just plug them into the power, then plug a mouse, keyboard and screen in and its done so no assembling required.

But anyway, you might have to list what sort of laptop you are looking for as well as budget otherwise its going to be difficult for anyone to suggest anything.

I know what i am saying is picky but when you are asking for suggestions you have to tell people vaguely what you want and most importantly for what budget.

So, I posted about having to go to the hospital on a class trip like 2 and a half months ago.
There was some insurance were you'd get back your money if you cancelled your trip, or, in my case, had to go without choosing to do so (hospital)
Now, we got a letter from the insurance company, and what they said is just the most rediculous stuff ever.
If we wanted to get or money back I would've had to get from the hospital to my home all by my self, which is a bit hard considerring that a) I'm 12 and it's just generally hard to get free bus rides and b) The hospital was 450KM (280 miles) away from home.
Are the insurance people at that place insane or something?
Petrol alone cost 90€ (approx. 50 pounds, 130$)
    ---------------------------
At school we had to do some reasearch about drugs for a little project in ethics.
I had to teach like 15 people how to copy/paste stuff :|

    --edit--
Just made an avatar in Blender because I was bored.
    Took me like 5 minutes.
The 80x80 one is 10k samples just for the lolz and the 1080p one is 150 samples.
Can't upload the 1080p one right now though because my internet has decide to slow down a lot.
