That'd be cool. Cars like this usually had a sedan versjon like the early mazda 323, suzuki swift, toyota corolla and Nissan sunny.

 

This mod is broken since the last update. The car spawns without a engine and the standard 2 door Covet doesn't spawn at all.

Anytime AR162B makes any mod it appears every update just kills his work. I'm not saying its bad but every time you update you're mods it seems the official update finds a way to kill them.

 

I can confirm that this mod works in 0.4.2.0 .

 

Had to remove mod as well due to update broke it, maybe reinstalling will fix idk, his truck and h series addon still work on mine

update: mod does work just spawns without engine after reinstall

 

Meaning it doesn't work at all.

and there is 2 engines in new update dohc/sohc

 

It meant you have to add the engine in the parts config with ctrl+w

 

It does work, but the new (BeamNG v0.4.2.x) has a slightly different body jbeams. Among them are some different default engine slots, so they won't appear using most (all?) presets. I'll update this mod asap.

As some already might have noticed in the new Mods section, this mod has been updated to the current beam (0.4.2.2) jbeam files.

There seems to be an issue of some kind with the suspension. It's like as if there are no shock absobers in the cars, neither the 3-door or the 5-door model if the mod is installed.
Does anybody else have this problem?

 

I'm working on it atm, an update is almost ready.
Current version still has scaled values, it causes various problems. I've also added the skin system to the 5-door, it uses the same map, so skins with a visible door won't look that nice (DS' old look e.g.)

 

What about a police variant? It's okay if you are not interested in doing one, I hear that JDM cars don't interest you.

 

I downloaded this yesterday and as soon as it was installed, the other skins for the original Covets are gone. I really wanted to use the dirty skin for some driving around East Coast, but my plans have been delayed. Any fixes, or does anyone have the skin they wouldn't mind sending me?
