Hello everyone, I'm Troy McCameron Some of you may remember me from such threads as General Computer talk/advice and I cant think of any more because school and shit are getting to my head. Anyway, back to topic, I have a G27 at the moment. I love it to bits but it's starting to show it's age. Now, for me at least, 2 years with any sort of electrical device that requires movement on my part is really good, and my G27 has showed no signs of giving up, mechanically at least. It's tatty but honest. I want a new wheel, probably Christmas time-ish, with a maximum of £300. It has to have a shifter and clutch, I really have grown used to that over the last 2 years and really cant see myself going back. I have been looking Logitech for the G29, but I'm not sure if it is worth upgrading. Inside, they are essentially the same. The motor is the same, the pedals, if a touch better on the G29, are the same and the shifter has no buttons but that is on the wheel. Now, for another option I have been thinking of: Thrustmaster; they have good wheels and, from what I heard, are good quality. The T150, set to be launched in October, is £150-£170. This, the pedals and the shifter are around £350. Now, out of my budget, yes. Off the table? No. I can buy the wheel and the shifter for less than £300 and, hopefully, they will be able to adapt off so I can use the G27 pedals. Any of you peoples have any suggestions? Cheers in advance, Cameron Edit: Has to be PS4 compatible.
Well, unfortunately, it is not PS4 compatible. I already have one and love it to bits, but I need a PS4 compatible one. There is no point from an update from a G27 to a G29 because they are the same wheel with different compatibility.
Maybe this could be a solution? Sure it's $54 (~£35) but I think that's better than buying a whole new wheel.
I have been thinking about an M4 converter but Ive heard some quite bad things about them. What are the reviews like?
I'm not set on the G29. I don't understand why people aren't getting this. I don't the G29 is worth it because I've got the G27, it isn't a logical upgrade. What I'm saying is, should I go to Thrustmaster?
Its really not worth upgrading. Or even changing for that matter. The G27 is a good as you can get without spending your life savings on a T500rs or something, which would be pointless to use on any game on a console. Also considering that there are like 2 racing games on the PS4.
He's not asking if it's compatiable for PS3/PS4. Everyone knows that it is. He is just asking if it's worth to upgrade from G27 to G29.
