It would be awesome if there was a small/easy/quiet music in the backround, like in some games (GTA..). Yes you can watch music from youtube and/or itunes, but the feel when the music come from the game is more awesome.
I've read before that it's definitely not a priority. I wouldn't expect a release candidate to be missing music though
Devs said that it is -as stated by the guy above me - not a priority. They also said that it's a rather useless feature anyway, because you can have music running in the background and alt-tab out of the game.
