my case is that I cant get unlimited where I am so I can got to someone's house (preferably a friend) who has unlimited and download it there. I'm like half an hour from the nearest town (Waipukurau) but I guess that's tiny compared to in Australia where some people live a day away from town.

Awww shiiiiiit Turns out the glass shelves in our apartments are held on by rubber clamps, if you try and wash said shelves with soapy water they lubricate the rubber and slide strait off. Maintenance told me to clean it up and said that they would bring me a new shelf soon. Hopefully they will attach the next one to the wall using something a bit more suitable... This is the second glass shelf in our flat of 6 to come of the wall.
I have some testing info for this. It is quite time consuming to compress, but once compressed, decompression is fast. I used LZMA compression, as recommended by DM. In my testing, the lossless (24-bit non-floating color) .idf isn't all that impressive. However, the 8-bit color is quite impressive. I consider the 8-bit copies to be lossy because of loss of color. The difference between 24-bit and 8-bit color on my photo was not noticeable, however, it will be noticeable in many other photos. The photo I tested with is attached.
