So anybody tried it yet? Ive got it on PC and housemate has it on xbox one. Definitely intended for PC, looks like arse on the console... Plays like arse on a gamepad but thats alright as the opponents are playing like arse too. - - - Updated - - - For clarification. Here are my primary concerns with battlefront on the console and they are all graphical. No anti aliasing. At all. No texture filtering. At all. Texture banding (probably comes back to filtering as its largely alleviated on the filtered PC version). For these first 3 points, just look at the tie fighter behind the main menu, it demonstrates all 3 so perfectly. Fixed narrow field of view, pretty sure 55 is low for consoles already? Heavy motion blur, looks like arse and seems to exist simply to prevent the sickness of a narrow field of view and cover the crappy aliasing/filtering issues. All of these issues, adjustable on PC...
I watched a couple buddies play for awhile on the Xbone and I must say I was impressed with the graphical fidelity and didn't see anything bad. Gameplay wise it looked boring as hell. It's a beta though.
I've played it on X1 and PC, I can't play for shit on the X1, but I can't play for shit on PC also, but what I did notice that I killed more people on xbox but I missed more shots, looks like everyone else on the X1 was playing like arse too, it might just be me or the motion blur messing with me, but it feels smoother on the xbox for some reason and I have no idea why, 60fps on pc just doesn't feel like 60fps, it feels like 40 / 50, I think my monitor must be set to a different hz rate. Yeah, it looks like arse on X1, but I see a lot of people grouping up for easy kills so I like that The crosshairs in this game is absolute aids, I rather have none than the ones this game offers, I can't hit shit with them :/
I've been playing it on PS4 and I love it. It runs really smooth, the graphics are great and there is plenty of action. I can't wait until release to play with the other game modes and maps @Aboroath it is not boring one bit to me. There are plenty of things to get into like the AT-AT and AT-ST. Then there are the fighter ships and you can also get a power up and be Luke or Darth Vader. All of these make it really action packed and really fun to me. That's just my opinion though
I played it on pc, and I love it. Looks great and runs well. Already maxed level 5 in about 1 hour of playtime.
For sure. My opinion was based on seeing just a couple of hours off and on of gameplay and in no way constitutes an even remotely viable and knowledgeable dissertation. I'm glad you like it, I have a PS4 as well and I want Battlefront to be really good and not just another boring yawnfest of mindless one dimensional killing. I'm also really ticked off about games dropping good ole' fashioned single player campaigns these days.
Just played it today on the X1, fun and looks terrific but I blow on FPS. I'll have maybe 1 or two good games but the rest I suck. Going to get it on the PC too but I think I'll stick to X1 when its released just to stay away from modders.
If i could get it to launch that would be great hahaha. But my graphics card does not meet minimum requirements but that shouldn't stop me from launching the game (hd6950 2gb) I've seen many youtube videos on it and it seems quite great.
Didn't play, too busy being on the FO4 hype train. Choo choo! I might try it when I'm done with Fallout 4.
Highly unlikely it will be touched by modders, even really old games like BFBC2 are un-touched and are still really popular. Playing FPS games on consoles is also pretty dumb when you have a PC.
I've played it on Xbox1 and I must say I really enjoyed it alot. The thing I hate the most Walker Assault is that the teams aren't balanced, 98% of the time the Imperials win. It's almost impossible to win when beings the rebels. Graphics are pretty good in my opinion. Spawn points are horrid. Servers are a bit bad sometimes.
Right! About 90% of my death were due to spawning in the other teams area. One game I did get a 7 kill streak because I spawned in with them and no one noticed, I just went around elbowing whomever I saw till I was toasted. I found that using teammate spawn was a little better about not getting put in a horrible area
i tried it and ran it on ultra with like 50fps+ (probably to make it look better for youtubers and guys like that) but it does not make sence
