Seriously, the raunchy avatars are getting annoying. Now it seems like about once every month I have to ignore someone because of their avatar change, and then it takes me months to find out that it's been changed again... except that the ignore page shows avatars now.

Is there some way to avoid showing avatars completely?

I can only think of two such avatars, and both of them are animated cartoon-type things.

While I have no problem with it, I'm honestly surprised that the person offended by other people's avatars has the Confederate Flag set as their avatar, which isn't exactly agreeable either due to its history and connotations. This is not an invitation to discuss its meaning, however.

adblocker -> block an ad -> move slider till you aren't mad at an internet image
Also we all know you are referencing to 6677's avatar at least, and yes it probably doesn't belong, but if you are at least 16, as the forum requires, animated bouncing boobies shouldn't be too confronting.

There definitely are not any subtle meanings to my avatar :^)

Also there's literally nothing wrong with the rectangular variant of the Northern Virginian Army's battle flag.

Although I find it hard to agree with someone who waves a Confederate Flag, this really is an issue and I'm glad you pointed it out.

I don't think it offends children more or less, just those who are responsible.

I don't see the problem. If it bothers you that much you have too much time on your hands. Also when you start to regulate one thing you end up censoring stuff that some people won't want censored e.g confederate flags

"LOL confederate flagger is upset about avatars" vs. "Yeah this is a problem"

    FIGHT!

    lol

Also, I probably wouldn't have posted this except that someone just got a new one today, or recently enough that I only noticed today. Apparently, my arm doesn't do a very good job of blocking avatars while I try to get someone's username.

Thanks for the Adblock suggestion though. I'll have to try that.

The only problem I have with the raunchy avatars is that it sometimes makes it kinda awkward to browse the forum in public. They're also just kinda out of place.
Other than that I don't really take issue with them. Don't really bother me.

On a related note, I made a mistake by hitting Show ignored content on the bottom of the page.

    :/

Fortunately, AdBlock can also remove this button.

It can block their username from the thanks/likes box under your post, but then there's still a box that reads "likes this". Being able to ignore any and all activity by blocked users would make the whole forgetting their existence thing much easier.

*goes looking for a raunchier avatar*

technically she does fit within public decency and it is a Toyota racing shirt so I don't see the problem, but then I'm guessing the confederacy have blocked me. These days that flag seems to be taken just as offensively as an Isis flag. Whether or not it should is another matter but I see the hypocrisy pointed out here.

I found the bouncies. I found the bouncies amusing. I selected them as my avatar.

I kindly invite you to explain exactly what you find so offensive about it in a PM.

in future how about you just mention me direct rather than beatinng around the bush when its obvious it's my avatar you refer to, my avatar that will not change until a mod orders it, a mod order that has not occurred.

anyone fancy quoting or repeating this, I have no doubt I'm on his ignore list.

Sixsixsevenseven posted this, posting again for those who may have him blocked:

edit: @supernoob- when blocked, a user's posts are hidden from view for the blocker, including when their post is quoted in somebody else's post. Whoever has blocked 6677 won't see his quoted post in your post. Posts.

Sure, I have no problem with quoting it for you so he can see it.

I think that it really doesn't matter what your avatar is.
Aslong as it isn't something really offensive it's fine IMO.

hmm yes, but the question is what is offensive and what not. I mean everbody have a other resolution over offensive.....

and if you start with avatar you can start in the same way with Member names or bad words..... and many more

I find it hilarious how only the BeamNG community can fight about avatars.
Albeit i've seen avatars being removed for less than sexual content.
