    Western Star 4900 EX.

I've been working on this model for a while and it was originally made to be put in Rigs of Rods but now I've decided that it should be put into BeamNG.

I will be taking requests for what parts I should make and will accept constructive criticism.

    Modeling program used

    • Blender

Versions Planned (will add more, just need ideas)
    • Daycab
    • Flattop sleeper
    • Logging version
    • Dump truck

I'd greatly appreciate if the community could help me along the way with getting this into BeamNG as well as giving me suggestions :)

That would be nice since I only use the flatbed trailer by DummiesMan to bring cars back and forth from the Gavril Dealership in Generic City...

Just an Idea, You could do like a Australian truck styled one with the bull bar, mounted spotlights, custom stacks, etc? Apart from that looks pretty good.

you could do something like a wrecker (displayed below) and maybe a dump truck. would be cool if you could. the wrecker isnt a western star, however im pretty sure you could do it.

Well I got some of the n/b in game today but I'm very confused on how to do the suspension correctly.

my opinion and perhaps the most important part of this thing is what motor goes in it. it needs to be a caterpillar. and it needs to be a c16. other parts i think should be customizable are: bumper, visor, clearance/marker lights, custom stacks such as a straight piped version with a 7' exhaust with either elbows or just a straight cut at the top, two different wheel options 22.5's or 24.5's if your only gonna do one i prefer 24.5's, regular rims or flotation tires on the front(for dump and log version), and finally a stainless steel headache rack with 8 circular red lights on the back of it, like in a 4x2 configuration. and thats about it lol. i love big trucks, everything about them. personally, my three favorite trucks are early marmon 57p's (before they changed the angle of the glass), an older Freightliner classic, the old style split window, and western star lowmax's. so its good to see a star car in here and eventually in maybe a year you will see my marmon on here

Just wanted to wanted to update you guys on the progress. Almost all of the exterior meshes are in game. I mostly have to model an interior and work on the node-beam/Jbeam so it fits up with the meshes well and deforms fairly good.
