    Hello,

When i play with BeamNG (full version and demo), i have lot of lag.

My game running with ~~20FPs and when i have the lag, my game running with 5fps.
Its the same problem if my games running with all option in high, or low...

The problem remains the same, I do not manage to settle the problem, my graphics card and my pc is up to date, I do not understand too that it might come

I have read the FAQ and set all seting to low, but no change

    This is my configuration :
    I7 2630QM
    4Go
    GT540M

If someone can help me :)

PS : Sorry if my english are not perfect, i'm french :)

Have a nice day, and i love BeamNG <3

Try to disable SSAO from Options - Left Menu.

i don't think a gt 540 is meant for any sort of gaming. get yourself a 650, or an entry level gaming card and you should be fine.

    2 other improvements might be

    lower lighting quality (shadows)
    "lowest" lighting quality (shadows)

also read faq before posting would be a good idea :) ... everything is explained there

game is still in alpha so lag is normal

I would say he is low-mid like stated above.
    Disable on the left options.
Turn shadows to low and all other to low-medium, test it.
Anyway your laptop will throttle down like my one..

What I find weird is that when all options are at their maximum, I have exactly the same number of FPS when i turn all option in low and SSAO deactivated

If you press "J" ingame to disable the physics, and your FPS increases, it is because your CPU is too slow.

As I mentioned in my FAQ edit, maybe your processor is slowing itself down to keep cool. Try doing other things to keep your system cool, for example put it on a fan pad, put it near a fan, play near an air conditioner, don't put it on a soft surface like a tablecloth/rug/your lap, put it on wood/plastic blocks to lift the bottom off the table a bit, et cetera. If none of that works you can disable temperature based CPU throttling as a last resort (usually in BiOS), but do this at your own risk as you run the risk of causing your PC to overheat, and be absolutely sure your processor is being throttled before doing so.

I seem to have this same problem of framelock. Try this.

Spawn a Gavril D15 (should be what spawns by default) and press CTRL+W to bring up the vehicle configuration. Under "Body" change it to empty and "Bed" to empty. Then try driving around. Your FPS should increase, but do you notice that the game seems to be sped up? As if the simulation was running at 1.5X speed or something?

Re: Big lag with 'good' computer - optimus problem

I have Optimus too, but there is a problem... if I want to run the game with high advance card gt540m, then I only have in game a integrated graphic card to choose, so the game doesn't even see this more advanced card -gt 540m. I can only choose the first one - the weakest standard integrated graphic card. With any other games it works very good (gt540m works great), there is only problem with BeamNg Alpha (with demo it's the same). The game runs very slowly, I turned off SSAO too, but nothing :/

    Does anyone have some idea?

    Thanks!
