The UI is completely redone from scratch. This was one of the main reasons for the release to be delayed.

The reason for that is that the old UI was getting unmaintenable. So we had to start from a clean slate, and re-code it in a clean way.

This wasn't a light-minded decision. Replacing functioning code is always a problem and we are averse in taking decisions like that. Nevertheless at some points you have to put on the balance the future maintainability of the code and accept the short-term pain of migrating from the old code to the new one, if the long-term benefits are bigger than the short-term problems.

I have to say, you guys seem to go through UI's so quickly. It's like watching Google develop a game.

What do we have to do to make our old apps compatible? What changed?
