i get a pop up that says crash report initialization error as the heading. and in the window it says Couldn't Create Crash Report Directory. Is there any way to manual create a crash report directory? it pops up about 15 seconds after i launch the game through steam. it kinda worked after i upgraded to windows ten few months ago but it wouldnt let me install mods new or old ones. then recently it just doesn't do anything other then the crash report thing.
    specs are
    OS : Windows 10
    CPU : amd fx 8350 8core 4.27ghz
    MOBO : asus crosshair V formula-z ROG
    RAM : 16gig nothing fancy 1833 i think
GPU : radeon hd7870 slightly overclocked
    HDD AND SSD :
120gig ssd with beamng drive installed on
1 tb with music and other steam games
4 tb with movies and such on it

PLEASE HELP I NEED TO CRASH SOME CARS IN A BEAUTIFUL FASHION!! AND BASK IN THE AMAZING CARNAGE!!! PS i miss this game super much!!!

I apparently can't play the demo, which worries me when I get the real game. It pops up saying "X3dAudio1_7.dll is missing form your computer." Same goes to "d3dx9_43.dll". I'm guessing that some files were not installed properly, and I reinstalled about 7 times. Is it that a dev put up a broken demo?

Does the version of DirectX specifically make a difference? And when I had upgraded to Windows 10, Beam stopped working.

As the game uses elements of directX9 and 11, yes, yes its important you have both installed.

It says it uses an older format of software, around 2004-2008

Then get DX11, which will work with the full version, but not the techdemo, unfortunately.

So tonight i will try and download dx9 and/or dx11. Hopefully that can create a crash directory?
