I use PS3 controller wirelessly. Thanks to the neat MotioninJoy tool and my trusty 2$ cheapo bluetooth module. Everything works like a charm!
I used to use ps3 controller with motioninjoy, but I kept getting crashes in some games, and even a couple of hard locks and BSODs. I switched to a 360 controller and have had no issues.
xbox 360 controller hey, would anyone happen to know where to find a more specific way to get the controller to work on the game, the tutorial they provide is depicting things that are not coming up in the folders when i open them, i just find it far too complicated, if someone could mabye tell me how more specifically that would be cool
I didn't have to do anything to make it work. I leave my controller always plugged in to my computer, and when I started up DRIVE, it just worked. Does it work for other games and not this one?
That is just a little silly. Mouse and keyboard is lightyears better for FPS, MMO, RTS, ect. but for racing games, you need a wheel or controller.
That's not true for all racing games. I know in TrackMania, pad is generally preferred, but there are some world class drivers who swear by their keyboards. In this game too, I've some skillful driving using keyboard. It all comes down to preference and what you're good at.
Anyone using a G27 and when you turn the wheel it takes a few seconds for the wheel to turn in game? im running demo but all suggestions help!
I use a wired 360 controller. I'm surprised how easy it was to use, I didn't have to set anything up or anything, while in ror I had to do all that input map crap
Thrustmaster T500RS F1 Wheel Script you find here http://www.beamng.com/threads/1283-Thrustmaster-T500-Wheel-Script
. My Xbox 360 emulated PS3 controller didn't work. So until I can get my G27 + playseat working with beamng I have to use my G510 keyboard.
A Xbox 360 controller with a wireless receiver. I might try to tweak the settings a little bit, but it was configured very well out-of-the-box.
Shift+B. Problem solved. OT: I use my semi mechanical (all of the main keys) keyboard with 90 bajillion (on actual count 23) non-standard buttons that I never ever use because they only work in Microsoft applications, most of which are useless or have better (often free) alternatives. I'd love to be able to bind them in games but some have OS level functionality, and the ones that don't always bind as LCTRL and then only work as LCTRL and not the custom button I set them as. I should also mention the decals have worn off a large number of keys, as well as the fancy silver paint has worn through to reveal the grey plastic underneath in a fair few places. Still works like the day I bought it five years ago though, So I see no reason to change. Pic from Amazon:
how. i have logitech g27 but the lack of settings that im able to find is driving me crazy. the keyboard controls are also sending me insane, they just make no sense.
