After seeing how the crashes affect certain parts of the car, it would be interesting to 'rupture' or destroy certain fluid containers. Over time with the leak continuing, certain problems could get increasingly worse. Some of the main fluids and affects could be: Gas (petrol) - eventually shuts off car Motor Oil - over-heating Brake Fluid - no brakes...lol Power Steering Fluid - harder to control vehicle All cars should start off with 100%, and (depending on settings) would drain over time, with a possible way to refill. Seeing your car oozing vital liquids after a crash would add to the game's realistic sense, and would make a even bigger mess along with skid marks and mangled body panels.
It would be reallly nice if you'd see the cooling water leaking out when you had a frontal crash, on the other hand it would put more load on the cpu.
+1 Not sure if the game engine can be programed to do these things, but would be great and add even more realism to BeamNG.
You forgot to mention antifreeze. I think one of the most common problems would be a punctured or cracked radiator in a front end collision, resulting in a coolant leak, resulting in engine overheating.
Shouldn't be that hard to do the way I'm thinking: from the broken pipe/container a particle stream just flows down to the ground avoiding collisions and a wet patch appears on the ground.
Fuel (petrol) is already implemented. You can "run" out of fuel. If you go to the cars files, you can change its fuel capacity. Note, everytime you respawn your car, your fuel resets.
Lol, it's not fuel use, but fuel leakage. If you crash you can break the fuel lines; thats what this thread is about.
Fuel leaks are already implemented. Crash your car just right, and you'll run out of fuel in mere minutes.
I'd also be interested in fluids leaking in a crash. Such a great idea. I was going to make a thread but saw this.
Well , you bumped a thread over a year old , so it might be a better solution to not post a thread , or make a new one .
No it isn't. We need to make up our minds. We bitch at people when they make repetitive threads, and we bitch at people when they bump old threads. Well, if you bump with something useful it's fine, but just saying random stuff that doesn't add anything to the thread, keep it to yourself. New people: Pretty much anything you think of has been suggested at least once, and even if it hasn't the devs have thought of it. Unless you have something truly new and out of the box that hasn't been suggested before, it's best to just keep it to yourself. :\
If you would keep it to yourself the devs wouldn't know what feature is actually important to the people and just develop out of their mind.
You've got a point... Bah. Whatever. I just get tired of seeing people suggest the same feature over and over and over.
That's some pretty stupid logic. Not happy at the moment? Why not just kill yourself? I'm not just gonna leave a forum that I like because of some stupid threads. I'd prefer them to stop so I can remain here without seeing them constantly.
That escalated quickly. Just don't visit the threads then or hit the "Mark Forums Read" button. I didn't say you should just quit BeamNG altogether but rather closing the tab of the thread. >Logic
