So I've been looking in the Mods repository, and I really really am frustrated with it. It's not a bug report, its not a complaint, its just my .02 cents.

So in the mods repository, I do think its a great thing. It does kinda carry over from RoR, which I like. (P.S. I haven't played RoR.)

The frustration I have with the Mods Repository is that for around I think 2 or so years, Probably less, I always went to the Forums into the different areas and stuff like Maps and Terrains, Mods and Skins, Vehicles...But now the repository is made and I never remember to go to the repository.

My second frustration is for the mods repository also. It frustrates me that all the mods that are on that first or second page of the section, they are usually kinda crappy mods. There aren't any more cars coming out, which makes BeamNG sortof boring. Because there isn't that feeling of suspense till when the next mod is coming out. After the Repository was made, all that's on it is Skins, Wheels, Little manufacturer differences, and other smaller addons that take little work. I'm fine with all the skins, they look great, I just wish there was more cars coming out of people's workstations.

(Don't say 'Well why don't you make a car yourself?', because I can't. Well I can, I just haven't learned the way to do it or anything.)

So you are frustated because you forget check the 'MODS' page?

First, I don't think it's ethically correct to say that someone's mod is crap if one never tried to make a mod himself. Some people have more or less experience than others. No modder is getting paid to make mods, they simply do it for the sake of fun.
Second: I would reply with the last thing you said. Making an entire car is way harder than making a skin or parts. It takes way longer and require much more work. Not to mention that 'officially' new cars are always in the making.

Now, a question for you: You said you can't make a car/mod. You can't, or you haven't tried/had patience to?

There's a big button at the top that says MODS if you don't check that then I'm not sure what you can be frustrated at other than yourself.

And there's been new cars added to the game in the past 2 updates, so I don't see how you can qualify your claim about BeamNG never getting new cars.

I agree some of the mods aren't really my taste (I prefer sports cars and modern (>2010) car designs, while most of the vehicle mods are old, boring sedans or large offroad trucks) but you have to have respect for the work these modders do, all for free. It takes a lot of work to create a whole new car, let alone a simple skin or something.

Yeah, And I do understand I can't say one is crap if I haven't tried doing it myself. ( Answer to Nadeox: I'm just crammed with school nowadays, so I don't have the time to learn how to.)

And I guess that me being frustrated with the mods page is a little bit pointless.

Also, I never said that there were never new cars, I meant that the production of newer cars has been slowed from the mods page taking over with simpler, 30 minute mods that are small details.

It just gets boring when there hasn't been new mod cars out for a long time. The UAZ was released recently, and I liked that. I guess maybe there isn't enough people who can do complete cars yet. I can try to learn how to, because then I can release them, but I don't exactly have the skills to remember all the codes and stuff.

Sorry, but that's just the way the game works. Making an entire vehicle is not about "remembering all the codes and stuff," but rather learning to work on complex jbeam structures, creating fully-featured 3D models for vehicles, and UV-mapping, texturing, and creating and tweaking every single individual part until part until the vehicle is half-complete. It takes months, maybe more. Even very small projects like my Tiny Rock take hours to get working. Just be happy that there are people out there other than the developers who take on full vehicle projects and complete them.

If you don't remember to go to the repository but want to be updated on everything being new on the forum and Mods section, simply press on "What's new", this features new forum posts/threads and freshly created/updated files in the "Mods" section.
