Hey all! How about the Idea of bringing in a Rewind-Feature into the game just like in f.e Forza Motorsport or Race Driver Grid or newer Need for Speed Titles where when you've crashed your car, you can rewind the last 10-20 seconds and try it again in a new variation without resetting it over and over again to keep maybe the high speed you already had instead of driving all over again from beginning? Greets
This would be cool. kinda. Plus, if you wanted to be able to rewind, that would mean the gameplay would have to be somehow "recorded" on memory and would probably eat away even more FPS (for some people). But if there was an option for recording (like "theater mode" in COD: MW3 (atleast on the PC)) this would suit people with low-end, and high-end pcs.
If there is a replay mode,I think it would be a great and not too complicated idea to mix both ideas and jump directly in the game where you replayed\rewinded by pressing a button
The program BeamNG was based on, Rigs of Rods, had a rewind feature that worked quite well. I'm not sure why it's been left out of BeamNG, I'd expect that the devs are either planning to add the feature or ran into technical limitations that prevent it from being practical.
a rewind feature would be pretty neat. but as BreadForMen said, it would probably take quite alot of fps away. something i'm thinking of though is a replay thingy module. take the game War Thunder for example, if you make a good game with a few nice kills, you'd be able to save the replay afterwards. and this could particulary be a huge thing when multiplayer/multiplayer events comes. someone maybe wants to hold a demo derby event, and during the event, some people got a few extreme hits. then we would be able to see it again if it got saved as a replay.
