Does the game itself have a name yet?

Welcome to the forums! Just a heads up, be careful what you post. A lot of these ideas have already been talked about. You can check them out in the "forums" tab at the top. Also, try not to post off topic. This thread is about the game's name. If you want to post here, you should either make it relate to the actual topic or to another comment. Otherwise, some people will get angry. I know that your points 2-4 have already been discussed in the forums. That first point is cool though. You should make a new thread with that idea. Anyway, hope you enjoy the forums!

Simple, "The Crashing Game".

Or something like "Beams of Steel" or "Totally Totaled", because I remember that what especially attracted me to search about Rigs of Rods was it's unusual name
So, something unusual, which makes people go like "What kind of name is that? Let's see what this game is about"

 

Why all these suggestions about what the game's name's gonna be when you have no idea what the plot is yet?

All you know yet is that you can drive cars and crash them realistically and that's not enough to suggest a proper name for it.


What if the game's about driving as fast as you can in traffic, trying not to wreck your car in the process and your suggested name for it is "City driving simulator" or whatever?

 

I thought we all had a pretty good idea about what nature of game we're going to have. Realistic damage engine, and Gabester has been hinting on demolition derbies n stuff.

 

Its gonna be like Flatout. Races, derbies, yet off road n stuff

 

Wow, I must be really slow... I thought the game was called BeamNG

what about: Wreck It

 

I can't think of any right now but what about names with NG at the end to show it is from the beamNG engine

 

Why not just "BeamNG Tech Demo", have the devs even stated that they need a name?

It's the latest logo VW used with the Nazi theme blended with a Norwegian flag... because I'm Norwegian.
Not supporting Nazis, it's just a very old VW logo from the time the Beetle's forefather was invented as the KDF-wagen.

 

They have mentioned that they are unsure of exactly what to call it.

I dont know about you guys but Im good with BeamNG!

 

A good name, out of context relatively to what there is gonna be in the game, would be CrashNG.

So far I like "Uncle Bert's Backyard" the best XD lol

 

How about Vehicsim? A mix of Vehicle and Simulation. Please critcize nicely.

 

I think it would be too similar to the game "Wreck It Ralph". ^^
