I refuse to take you seriously when you use run on sentences that lack any punctuation and sophistication because it looks sloppy and it comes across as sloppy I mean really all it does is show how you don't take the time to double or triple check your posts before sending them out to everyone on the WWW I am trying my hardest right now not to use a single bit of punctuation just to get the point across across because it makes it so hard to read and it's hard to force your self not to use it btw do you like my pointless run on sentence it's really annoying isn't it.< Opps I used a period. < I did it again! < Opps an exclamation mark

I'm hoping that your post was from mobile.

I haven't even looked into what it would cost to insure that but since it is a sedan and i live in america where the rules might be different, it will probably be about average.

I don't mean to sound like a privileged white dbag, but i really got lucky. My dad had been on the same insurance plan for quite a while and regularly changes insurance, swaps out cars, etc. cause he ran a turn business (buy cheap classic, fix up classic, sell classic). And when I was sixteen, he added my to an "Or Share" where both our names were on the title and on the insurance. This cut my insurance down by more than half (16y/o driving a technically antique car with no abs, no traction control, no seatbelts(but legal)). my insurance went from 500/mo to about 230/mo IIRC. also, since my little sister will be getting get 1960 ford f-100 in a while, he thought ahead and insured it early. She wont be using it for a couple years but our insurance agent told us to insure it, then put the insurance on hold for the time that she isnt driving. held insurance with this company is only like 50/mo cause it isnt on the road, and in 3 years when she turns 16, they'll reinstate the insurance and it'll be at a 50% discount since the truck hasnt been in an accident in 3 years!

tl;dr get good insurance agent, find loopholes

Edit: realized you use pounds. all mine are in USD fyi
Edit 2: not sure how insurance works across the pond, but it's monthly in the US. £1500 translates to about $2200 which is outrageously high for a monthly fee. is it yearly? or a singly charge?

I have no experience with the v8 package, but my I6 car has been running since 1960 and still gets almost 30mpg highway (which is awesome cause I live 30mi from town XD) and anything that goes wrong is easily fixable with just a pair of channel locks for the most part. I imagine if your car was in better condition, it would be less problematic, but if you're good with cars, even a little, it's generally easy to figure out what's going on. They're such simple machines. perfect 5/7 would recommend

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did it cost you to buy the car? Was it in good condition?

Ok so i have good, and bad news.
The bad news is i need to re-make almost everything. I already re-converted the model straight from grid 2, so im starting fresh.
The problem was that when i started working on it, i didnt know a lot, so i messed up the uv mapping a lot, it was a mess and half of the textures were not uv'ed properly.
which is why i started again

the good news is, now that this is done, its also christmas break, which means i will probably work on it for the next few weeks.
There is a lot left to do, and i just restarted almost everything which means it will take even longer before an actual release.
But now that the model is mostly back in beamng, with proper textures working, and changeable too. It will be a bit better to work on.
Also if someone could help me with engine specs, could you please pm me, its a bit confusing and i dont really know engine stuff, and how it works.

Its been a long time since i worked on this car, i made 2 other cars and released them, i wanted to be better at making cars so i could make this one even better, i have a lot of side projects, and all i can really say is, stay tuned for more.

funny story actually, my dad was walking down the street talking to his dad on the phone. They were just chatting about how they used to work on falcons all the time and that they were great for beginners to work on the body cause of their mix of edges and curves and whatnot. minutes after ending the call, he saw my falcon (owned by someone else at the time) in the driveway off the road with a Sale sign on it. He walked over to check it out just as the owner pulled in. He needed to sell it cause they were moving and said that it ran fine. Interior needed work but all the mechanical stuff was said to be in good condition. Bought it for $700 , filled it up in town, drove 30 miles home, filled it up again, took 1.1 gallons, no problems. A year or so later, i got it from him as payment for work. It's never not been in running condition even though it's still WIP and looks a bit rough. Last spring in fact, i decided it was time to pull it out of the snow cause of how warm it was getting (I live in Alaska, so when spring comes and it reaches like 30 degrees again, it feels really warm). I shoveled the snow away from the back of it (2 feet or so), plopped a battery down in the thing and drove it right out onto the road. I cannot emphasize how hardy that car is.

Haha, that's a good story. I live in NJ and I've been looking around craigslist and the ones i found were all in amazing condition, but were all from the range of 9,000-10,000, which would be a little pricey for a first car. I definitely want to own a classic car in my lifetime though, and the falcon is one of the better looking ones to me.

Made the fire work with the charger.
    screenshot_00292.png
I did a fair bit of progress on it today, mostly finished getting all the parts in-game, Working on getting the wheels in-game as well.
not sure what i want to do with the jbeam tho, kinda stuck.
What i need to do next is get the suspension in-game and working properly, i had to think about it for a while but i will keep the original grid 2 suspension parts, which means the daytona will not have any parts from other cars, a different steering and the gauges will be the only exception, i will try to make the wheels working like the vanilla cars as well, so you will be able to change it with any wheels.

Just because nothing was posted for a few weeks, it does not mean its dead. It was the last few weeks of school, everyone had a lot of stuff to do, so did i.
It will take time for this to be done, because i also dont want to rush it out, i took the time to make 2 other cars so i could learn more.
I could start posting progress every week or so if you want to.
I will make this vehicle, but i also have other projects in the works, so i dont completely focus on the charger all the time.
But in the next weeks, since its christmas break, i should be able to work on it more.
