Been wanting to create another advert video for a while (it's been almost two full years since my last one, for those who saw it), and seeing that Wheelie's thread was inspired by mine, I thought why not do it now.

    Backstory:
Although this ad is from the same year as the Ibishu Covet's debut ad, Ibishu went with a far more mature editing style due to the family/"not-young-driver" orientated nature of the Pessima. This meant no Scanimate effects, no synth-laden music, a bigger focus on real world stuff, and a simple but memorable tagline. Just a simple video timed to the beat of a hard hitting song.

Some random info about the making of:
    - Researched quite a lot of American, Japanese, and American-ads-for-Japanese car ads, many of them don't have prices or T&Cs, and are very simple.
    - Took about an hour to make.
    - Timing cuts to a beat is easier than I thought.
    - Text to speech voices never sound natural. I tried to splice as much as I could to make it sound natural, but I can only do so much. I think it's still better than no voice really.
    - Chroma keys work wonders.

Great work, really like what you did with the "mature" style. That ending shot was genius. Only thing I can come up with is that the computerized narration was at times difficult to understand.
Hmm... I think I must go deeper... Roamer, anybody? EDIT: or maybe something else...

The narration was a necessary evil and the only real solution. A lot of people said the Covet one would be better with narration, but I don't have an American accent nor a proper quality mic, so I simply used voice narration and masked the flaws as much as I could with muffled, bassy audio.
