What are ou looking forward to the most? I am looking forward to the raw destruction and the good veichle physics ;D
Driving not crashing stopping at red lights. Demo derby speeding crashing seeing how much damage the car can take. Offroading smashing in to cars side to side. The maps you can get the cars you can get but most of all beamng to be release and veichle physics.
For me it's the gamemodes that will be available. Its all nice having some great physics, but putting them to use is another thing.
I am looking forward to driving around online with friends using G27 wheels Btw that's if their is a multiplayer lol (fingers crossed)
Man, this is honestly my most anticipated release of 2013 (Hopefully not 2014) I'll take the demo version shown in july over any game coming out this year. Just had a look back at some of the earlier dev videos and I'm so hard(metaphorically) right now! I can barely contain my excitement when I look at what progress is being made. My only disappointment is that I wish it would've been on kickstarter so I can throw all my money at it while I still have a disposable income, as I'm sure alot of other would be doing.
Crashing is always good, but honestly I'm more interested in the terrains. Something JUST like real life. Something with the trees all around you, your friends with you (on their laptops) trail riding through the woods, getting stuck n pulling each other out. That's what I'm looking forward to
Honestly, content creation. I can't wait to get my hands on the new tech you guys are building. In RoR, I've always loved trying to find solutions for new problems, trying to find the line between what the physics engine will handle properly, and where it just becomes a big mess... This new engine is going to add so many new possibilities for things to make, even though the very essence is similar to RoR(stones for mass and sticks for structure, basically?). In addition to that, the system requirements are much lower, meaning people can create very complex, realisticly deforming vehicles and other machines without hurting the framerate too much. To me, the big let-down in RoR was always the system requirements. A rather simple deforming n/b was always pretty taxing on any computer, even if you had the best of the best of computers. To build a car as realistic as you wanted it to be(ie as realistic as the MV4), the performance was always just a little bit lower than you would like it to be. With this new engine, the system requirements on cars as realistic as that seem to be much lower. One MV4 on a nice map was usually enough to bring the framerate down to 40-50 on a decent computer, and in BeamNG we might be able to run multiple cars that deform even better at higher FPS, and as a bonus, with way better graphics. Sure, I will enjoy smashing around in all the awesome cars Gabester is making for a long time, I'll probably be severely neglecting my schoolwork because of this game. However a few months after this comes out, people will try to build things the devs probably hadn't even thought about when building the engine/game, which is honestly what I look forward to most, apart from doing that same thing myself.
crashing, racing, and demolition derby. they should implement a demo derby mode where you can do it with either multiplayer or AIs.
Crushing, Crashing, Jumping, Rollovers and practically everything to do with the destruction of a car. It would be great to see a forklift (If implemented) with large fork arms flattening the roof of a car.
Totally agree with Mythbuster, i can't wait to start making maps for this, i just hope that mud will be possible
I am looking foward to seeing a new particle system. I am hoping that there will be a totlay new more complex of a particle system that will include exhaust, water splash, mud, (if there is any) and tire smoke/dust.
I can't wait to design my own terrains, I've always loved creating buildings, terrains etc in Sandbox Editor so hopefully the method hasn't changed much. What I hope for most is that the physics engine is in some way stable with stackable objects so I can create walls of bricks and change their mass so if one falls on a car (a normal brick) it'll cause major damage like squish the roof or large vehicles being only capable of carrying one without damaging itself too bad.
I'm excited about how easy it will be to create a decent terrain compared to RoR. Much better vegetation and textures are available, we can use water ANYWHERE instead of 1 height and that's it. Can't wait to make some cool stuff! Now we need some off-road trucks to enjoy them :3
The possibilities. Ogre, while not terrible, was comparatively limited in its capabilities and looks. BeamNG, though, is RoR physics in a full-blown modern game engine. I'm most excited for environments. We're talking actual light sources, sound sources, far more complex and dynamic animations, weather, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
