    Hey forum,

Does anyone know about a BeamNG Drive: iPad Edition? It would be a quick port, and would probably run very well since it has the new A5X chip in most models. If not, then maybe for Mac OSX? Some people don't have windows computers...

    Thanks!

I've never owned a ipad, But Im guessing they don't have big enough processors to run the physics

It's able to handle Infinity Blade 2, and Grand Theft Auto. If you made a scaled-down version, it would probably work fine, and still look amazing.

Also GTA Vice City, which they upgraded the graphics to make pretty-near Xbox if you ask me, but thanks for your opinion!

This isn't an arcade style game like GTA. This is a heavy physics simulator which uses the processor to make simulations based on real world algorithms. There is no way the processor in an iPad is capable of performing these calculations. Nor will the graphics system then be able display an image from those calculations. This is not a simple "game" it's a high tech simulator, not something for a mobile device.

I'm glad to know that it would be a quick port. While I'm at it, may I ask what previous experience you have in video game coding?

It wouldn't handle it whatsoever, period.

GTA's physics aren't arcadey anymore--they're certainly not simulator-level but people actually used to and still bitch about how the physics are TOO realistic.

Just imagine playing some game with max quality setting, on a iMac OSX 10.4.11, and you lag like anything you can think off.
Thats how bad the iPad will lag.
playing a Java game lagged my Mac OSX 10.4.11 until I scaled down the res and the quality is already quite bad so think it worse and you will know how it feels.
You can try on Windows Surface 8 Pro. 4GB won't give much performance but you can try it out.

If they can port this to Ipad, I want a port for the Atari 2600.

Impossible. None of ipad, none of apple processor generation is able to run such a game that requires maximum of requirements.

Apple OS is fine, but IPhone and IPad got not enough power. Even my S600 Phone is way too weak and it can handle most android games on fullhd already. If we got Tegra 5 or 6, then we could have atleast the power for such physics.
