All you filthy casuals with AMD (j/k, I just dislike AMD) Mine is quite simple: i5 2500k GTX 560 Superclocked ASRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 motherboard 8GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 RAM Rosewill Blackhawk Case (GREAT case for cooling, just a little noisy.) Take note I built this PC almost 2 years ago, and it hasn't been upgraded nor has it given me any problem whatsoever yet. IT's a solid build. The mobo can support most processors in the i7 line too, and much more RAM, so its a VERY up-gradable build.
Toshiba Qosmio x70 ab2g22 Specs: 1. Nvidia GTX 770m 3gb with optimus (intel HD 4600) 2.4gb ram upgrades planned 3.Windows 4.Intel 4770MQ 2.4ghz-3.4ghz Runs game around 50fps
I have an Asus Essentio cm1630-8. It has and amd Phenom ii x4 830 2.8gtz, amd radeon 3000 integrated graphics, 6gb of memory, 1tb hdd with 148gb hhd for storage. I have a 300 watt psu and I want to upgrade my gpu to a much better one. My budget for the gpu is under $50. $60 or $70 dollars maybe. I know I need to upgrade the psu but which psu and gpu is fo r my system? Thank you.
I have:CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K (3rd gen) @ 3.4 - 4.2 w/ Coolermaster Hyper212 evo heatsink & 2 fans <-bargain Video: Gigabyte Windforce OC / Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2 GB - (i did have a reasonable overclock running (about +25% across the board, bearing in mind it came factory overclocked) that i was really happy with, but the recent Nvidia drivers started causing instabilities while overclocked, so for now it's back to it's factory overclocks. Mainboard: Gigabyte Z77 DS3H RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Storage: 1TB WD Green / 128GB Sandisk extreme SSD PSU: CTW 750 watt gold And i've been over the moon with it so far, i pine for a GTX 780 - but i don't really need it, i generally have enough power in reserve on most games to allow for a bit of downsampling which i think looks fantastic. i run BeamNG, max settings downsampled from 2560 x 1440 to 1080p and it doesnt miss a beat, indeed i feel like i could push it further but the ui doesn't scale right (as in many things, unfortunately) so above that res it's hard to make out text. Really looking forward to seeing what this thing can become, im toying with getting rid of my 360 wheel (which doesnt work with BeamNG at all) and buying a Fanatec CSR so not only can i use it, but so i can have accurate 900 degree steering... could end up being an expensive game purchase, this one... lol.
