    Hello.
I posted this in the 0.5.0 feedback thread already, but got no answer yet. So i'm starting a thread about it.
Since the latest update (0.5.0), i experience a very annoying problem.

FPS drop very hard when tuning and applying to a car. As example, i start the game with 60 fps, when i adjust front camber, it drops 5-10 fps, when i tune it further, or change the wheels, the fps drop further as well.
So i tested it and got like 15 fps ingame...
Fps are then stuck on that count, reloading the vehicle doesn't work and switching to another standard vehicle doesn't help either. Restarting the game is the only way to fix it.
Problem also happens when just changing parts in the car part menu. With every new vehicle part ( or maybe it just has to do with the car spawning all over again) it drops fps.

I've reinstalled the game completely, cleaned my registry with CCleaner etc. Tried many variations of graphic settings from high to low, tried different settings in my AMD Driver, restarted my pc several times, tried starting the game in different resolutions, as admin, without admin etc, but i can't seem to get this problem fixed.
Am i the only one getting this "bug"? Its really annoying..

If you have "live changes" enabled, the game is trying to reset the car (resetting the car halts rendering for a brief second) every time you move a slider. turn off the live changes, make your adjustments then hit apply, that way you won't see any framerate drops

When you change part, the game reloads the vehicle, you should expect a pause while it does that...

Yes it does pause for a second and reloads the vehicle each time. But how does that explain the issue, and how do i fix it?

Still couldn't find any fix for it. Does nobody has a clue? I realized the more i tune and the more it reloads the car, the less cpu and gpu usage i have.

BeamNG's always done this, and it does it for everyone I'm fairly certain. As SevenSeven explained, it reloads the vehicle with the new part attached, so they're always going to be a delay, especially since it's adjusting the structure of the vehicle. Same applies with the tuning.

it shouldnt be lagging after the reload though, seems to be what he is experiencing now, something I have *NEVER* heard of happening.

Ooh! My mistake. I thought he was referring to the stutter during part changing. However, I do sometimes have FPS troubles after reloading a vehicle, but it usually settles and picks back up for me. I'm not really sure what else to suggest. Sorry.

So since today, the problem even got worse.. It drops much more fps now when it reloads a vehicle. Its unplayable now. I tried everything.. Reinstalling the game, updating drivers, deleting drivers, etc etc. Its using max 350 mb ram, 330mb gpu memory, gpu usage is at 30% max, cpu usage is at 60% max. Its not using my hardware correctly and i have no clue what the hell happened all of a sudden. Please any dev, i hope you're reading this, i need some help.

After this same patch I too have been receiving major FPS drops no matter what I do. Before the update I had no problem running the game at normal with 40-60 fps now no matter what setting I choose It sticks to 20fps, doesn't Increase and doesn't really decrease. And no, I have not locked the FPS.
