When i start the game i get a problems detected notification which says that my clockspeed is below 2 ghz. But i use a 4790k 4 ghz quad core processor.
    The game is also lagging.

Have you checked your clockspeed in the bios? might also be your cpu underclocking because of tempature, any way you can check the ghz while its running?

The clock speed is right. And the cpu is watercooled so temps are never over 60c. I have no problems running other demanding games.

    Try this:
Load Gridmap (do not move the camera or the vehicle)
Go to options > gameplay > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemene there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it and let the graphs fill the screen.
Press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

The graph will show what CPU Clock Speed it's seeing.

(For Windows 8 and up) Go to taskmgr.exe (Task Manager) and click on Performance and see what the current CPU speed is.

Every time i turn on my computer from sleep mode the clock speed of my cpu jumps from 4.00 to 1.16ghz no fluctuation. Nothing i do changes, if i go onto beam or any other program it just locks up and i have to restart my computer every time i get on it from sleep mode. Its really annoying and one time ended up corrupting a video file i was making.

experience, ive got a Z97a, the configured max cpu load reports to taskmanager as max speed 0.8ghz and beam gets the same info, HWINFO gets it correct though

go to your AI suite, and click on the EPU menu bit and at the top there is a tab called Global Setting, there is a switch to switch it on or off, i leave it on as it saves energy when in the powersave modes, but you have to restart after you change the setting
