I hope you two are aware of the hypocrisy of first stating this and then posting respectively 9 and 11 times in the last three hours.

That would be a suspension from me...for at least a month...I wouldnt ban him but I would make him realise he is having his posts watched...any more like that would mean further action is needed

My idea is that some higher up people (staff members etc.) elect a lot of respectable forum members for moderation. Maybe a system where it needs a few votes to delete a post, and even more to ban (only temporarily, permabans should only be by actual staff members).

EDIT: Look at his posts, not one is helpful. And ~half of them are ~one-four word posts.

 

You see, the problem with the current flood of inane posts is that the users posting them actually think they're meaningful. Wake up call: your posts aren't meaningful. All that you have said could have been condensed in one single (not even that long) post. It would have been easier to read, (hopefully) more though-out and overall better. Whereas your current pattern of posting is exactly the same as what you're complaining about. Stop it.

 

its not a problem when it is within a thread, and not off-topic, if they are creating spammy off-topic posts, then it is a problem

 

If its something like that I would not go with a warning I would go straight for the super ban hammer and use it on them....there really isnt any point in people posting stuff like that on the forum...

You need to have good judgement as a Moderator, you fuck up it will come back and bite you in the ass....and you need to have good tolerance of people as well...you need to have a clear mind as a moderator and listen to both sides not focus on one side only I can do that I know it...

Can you do psychological profiling by any chance? I have a friend on facebook after 5 lines of chat pinned my location down hes that good....and hes freakishly accurate with psychological evaluations about others as well...

I was thinking of creating a "cancerpost hall of shame" thread, but seeing how people are going off to rip on the "Mom's Spaghetti" guy and just prolonging the thread's life, it would probably just be a bad idea that ends up creating a toxic environment, keeping the bad threads alive, and once again making the complaining more annoying than the bad posts themselves, thus reducing the quality of the forum even further.
