    Realistic engine sound mod
    ________________________________________________________________

I´m makeing a mod to replace the generic sound that all cars have, this makes the game a lot more realistic.

    Here are some examples:

some stock sounds (this is why i want to put multiple sounds in one car):

This still wip and the final product may change, i will love to see some progress on the sounds of beamng soon, but i´m nobody to tell the devs what to do and when to do it.
by some ¨progress¨ i mean: add a off throttle volume modifier, the posibility to add different engine sounds to the same car, gearbox noises, etc.
With those changes i will be able to improve the engine sounds a lot.
I know that some of them are possible with some lua code, but i dont want to waste my time doing something that is going to be properly implemented in the future.

Any comments or suggestions please leave them below!

Sorry if you see some grammar errors, i´m still learning english.

Very nice! Only ones I find unrealistic are the Gavril D-series and new Pessima. There's no diesel for the Gavril so it's much too rough and the Pessima is a bit too rough for my taste.

Very good! But is there a way that you can make like a dual sound system for the pickup and have the diesel sounds for the dually and just more classic american straight pipes for the others, that would be awesome!

GREAT! sound mod, but the d-series, grand marshal, both pessimas, and the 200bx all sound a bit (a lot) to much like racecars...

Love this, only thing I would say is that the pickup sound was a very low sound compered to the others but it might just be me! ;)
    Good luck with this mod.

the gavril d series is just a test, thats not the v8 sound (oviously) i may do in the future a turbodiesel d series mod.

yes thats why i want to be able to put different engine sound in the same car, so i can make them sound straight piped or stock.

the volumes haven´t been changed yet, that will be ajusted.

Not that I think there is anything wrong with any of your sounds (on the contrary, they all sound pretty awesome!), but the Hirochi SBR4 is a flat 4 engine, it should sound more like a Subaru WRX. Granted it would depend on the kind of headers that are mounted on the engine. A WRX had UEL headers which gives it that Boxer rumble, however, in the interest of performance, a WRX can be fitted with EL headers that would make it sound like any other 4 cylinder.

Does anyone know what kind of headers the Hirochi SBR4 has on it? Either UEL or EL headers (UEL = Unequal length, EL = Equal length) because if they are EL headers, then the sound is perfectly fine, but if they are UEL, then they will sound like this...

(best I could find, but its sound is thrown off a little by this guys exhaust system)

The SBR4 has equal length headers, 99% sure.

Yup, just took a look myself, your 100% right. So that would mean I have no problems with the sound then.

Yeah, I think Subaru is the only company that does ULHs on their Boxers, or at least used to until they went Toyota Camry sound. Did Porche ever do it?
