I started my own jbeam, and well last time I did any modding to this game, things were way different, so I'm not used to the new way of doing things. I took up on trying to make my own vehicle and spent some time on it and got no where, I was hopping that those who know more about this could help me out in telling me what I had done wrong with this folder.

    Thanks

I'm genuinely intruiged as to how you had mods in game before on a fitted jbeam, and yet have what appears to be a sketchup exported mesh as a jbeam now

jbeams should not be this high density. You cannot just export your model and have a jbeam, you have to make a structure

this is a example i have in blender. There are no support beams though as you have to do those by hand for it to deform nice.

and finally, unzipped mods go into documents/beamng.drive/mods/unpacked/MODNAME.zip***/vehicles/modname

    ***modname.zip is a folder

also heres the fixed version of your jbeam

Thanks for the info, I'll take this into next project. But I do have one question, I can't seem to find the vehicle in the vehicle selector. I see you seemed to have to open ingame but I can;t seem to get that part.

I have it docs/beamng.drive/mods/unpacked. Is that correct location?

yea that should be correct, so long as you put it in modname.zip***/vehicles/modname/jbeamhere
***this is a folder, not actual zip file

Close the game, clear cache, restart game and check mods and it should show it and then go into any level and check vehicle selector and it should show up as well, thats what I do

I cleared the cache and it is now showing up in the vehicle selector, but I think it fezzes when I open the car, nothing shows up, I've tried to see the skeleton by pressing K but nothing shows up, I know in the past if nothing showed up, then it froze the game.
