Offroad Suspension/Wheels for Other Vehicles

How difficult would it be to create a mod which allows offroad wheels and suspension for vehicles like the Vanster or the Ibishu Covet? It would be fun to give that a try - making the Vanster even less stable would be a lot of fun. I don't know the first thing about modding at all, so if another person was willing to make the mod, or if it's a simple task, to explain to me how to make it myself, that would be awesome. I would look at how the other vehicles switch their parts, and just try it for yourself

 

It wouldn't be hard at all to lift the vehicle and change the suspension stiffness a bit.. Copying over the offroad suspension specs from the D15 for the new parts for the Vanster might be a good start.. then tweak it from there.

Notepad++ is great for modding the .Jbeam files.

Advanced Instructions:

Make a copy of the Vanster Suspension files, put offroad in the name. Open it up and Find Springs and Shocks. Rename them to offroad versions. Open up the Offroad suspensions for D15, find those shocks and springs. Change the spring, damp, precompression(ride height) etc to that of the D15 offroad parts. Load it up and play around, tweak if necessary..

 

I just can't manage to figure it out. I've replaced the names and numbers, but nothing changes. No extra parts appear in the menu.
