I know the thread is around, but its dead. I used to love it... Had a few cool mods and I could drift in this one car(I swear the ford crown vic mod made its way into BeamNG because the mesh looks the same.) Now the game is not one I would play, because I found Rigs of Rods and BeamNG. Both are better, and the only Russian crap affiliated with them are a few mods(I have actually found some great quality non forum mods, but most mods out there are crap and make the game look bad.) What are your thoughts on C.C.D?(City car driving)
It sure is fun for about a week. I got bored playing it after 2 weeks. The only thing I hate is that it's laggy and after a while my car starts floating around.
I have it but it has to be one of the slowest games I have. I would install it but I forgot the "Activation Key" so I don't think I'll get it working again. - Update: I just found the key in a PDN file which I was no expecting...
Its interesting... I like it as a simulator over it being a game. I need to repurchase it and reinstall it on my PC again but I will definitely do that soon. BeamNG is the better driving simulator, but CCD has the NPC traffic and on occasion quite a few cool mods.
I do not think that BeamNG is a better simulation of engine physics. BeamNG is great for soft body physics. City Car Driving is better if you just want to drive in the city, and enjoy a calm drive.
I could never get around the weirdness between handling of vehicles when I would switch over to CCD after playing BeamNG. But I guess that's just what happens when you compare the handling characteristics between 2 totally different simulators.
I was playing City Car Driving long before I was playing BeamNG. Having a steering wheel makes the physics a bit easier to adjust to for me.
I also use a wheel for both. And I've been playing CCD sometime since early 2013, and didnt find BeamNG until late 2014, and didnt play it until 2015. Oh well. Both are great sims for what they are for. BeamNG for crashes and CCD for general cruising and learning how Russians apparently learn how to drive lol
