I was curious to see how close the physics were in game in comparison to real life. So I replicated a crash and put the clips side-by-side.The physics were indeed quite similar.
Ridiculous right? You can go check out the full clip, see it in a full screen and the guy talks about it a little. It's pretty interesting. I put a link in the video for it.
This is a great video. It goes to show how accurate the physics are in-game. The game almost matched the video 100% Great job.
I think the Ibishu Covet is a bit to strong. It is less deformed and sure older and unsafer than the Ford Focus. But although it's pretty realistic!
The Covet doesn't even go 120, so unless he modded the engine, it was probably a lower impact speed. Also, something to keep in mind: Heavier things damage themselves more (more inertia). There's more weight in the back of the car crushing the front. The Focus weighs a good 500 lbs more than the Covet. It's like how a fly can fall to the ground 10 feet and be unhurt, but a person falling from the same height could have broken bones.
The footage was pretty cool, but I was more impressed by how well you imitated the original video. As a video maker myself, I find subtle details like that greatly improve the overall quality of the video. In almost every scene, you matched the original camera angles with in-game angles, and matched the motion speed pretty well. Great video, great editing.
