This does not happen every time, but enough times to be irritating. Right before you spin out in a car, as soon as the skidmarks on the road or terrain start, there is very noticeable lag, at least a 50% FPS drop. This only happens on mesh roads, decal roads, and terrain materials that share the same properties as roads (the tire on pavement sound for example). Since there is so much lag, it is nearly impossible to get the car back into control, leading to an unexpected car crash, then the lag stops.

Even my i7 3770 and R9 280X struggle with the tire smoke effects sometimes. Other particles seem kinda fine.

Unless the tire particles are all dynamic and will flow with the wind speed and aerodynamics of the vehicle then settle on the ground and effect the road surface, this is unacceptable.

+1 but i don't understand why skidmarks make this ???? Maybe game saves skidmark's textures as a temporary cache so memory fills and game lags

IT'S A PROBLEM WITH MESH ROADS try to skid on official maps and here will be no problem

But i'm wondering why would someone use mesh roads ? They don't correctly match with ground level, are buggy and take a lot of time to model...

yes it's the mesh roads. I've mesh and decal roads on my map, and I've well seen the difference .... :(
