Ok so i'm sure i'm not the only one that loves the Drag cars in this game. So i'm going to give a couple ideas that would make the Drag cars more relevant than they are now. So here are my ideas about how we can expand them. 1. With these Drag cars we need some tracks we can race them on. Would be awesome to have some free roam tracks as well as some scenarios that will record the time with each pass. Being a track where cars are being launched all day it would make sense to make it more sticky than regular roads so the car will launch better from all of the rubber stuck to the track over time. 2. Forced Induction. (Turbo Chargers, Super Chargers, & or Pro Chargers) I've been reading a few threads about this idea and people don't really think of a American V8 sporting a Turbo or Twin-Turbo. When actually its ALOT more common than you might think and some of the fastest American Drag cars have Turbos. 3. Burnouts. Now burnouts would obviously warm up the tires which would give them more grip. I personally think this would be awesome. Not just for Drag cars but other cars in general. Pictures below show Single Turbo & Twin Turbo configurations to give and idea.
On point 3, BeamNG currently does not simulate tire temperature in a way that affects handling, so until that happens, burnouts wouldn't do much. Also side note: With the Barstow, if you hit at least 15mph in reverse, switch to N, rev your engine all the way up, then switch to D, you'll do a wheelie.
That is was what I was trying to say. Was to implement a system like that. Just wrote it to where it didn't sound like that I guess
Kinda like my post in suggestions. They also need rollcages and stuff. But if that engine could be made to work with any of them/a custom muscle car then it would be great
@Camaro8624 1. I think there is a system in progress if not actually in the game that could potentially be used to time passes. There's also a performance timer app that can (as far as I know) be used to gather Qmile times. 2. Is already in the game; both of them are sporting big nasty chrome blowers. 3. Tire thermal simulation is almost certainly in progress somewhere now that we have the engine and brakes done, but we've not heard or seen much about the subject so it may be a while.
