I had three ideas suddenly for cars 1.OBD or on board diagnostics for cars so when your car breaks down you can see the problem 2.worn parts on cars, this could be cool because you could use old parts and run the risk of damage to your car for example I once saw someone buy a car off of ebay that was listed "for parts only", I believe it was an old bmw and he took it 240 kph on the highway and something went wrong and the engine blew (I think someone said the tie rod went through the engine) 3.fuel Inertia cutoff Switch on gavril vehicles to stop fuel flow on an impact this is a feature on most for vehicles I believe --- Post updated --- anyone?
I like the OBD idea... even something simple like some dash lights that all light up when bad things happen to your engine. Second one Could be added I suppose... sounds like something for the career when it comes along. Third is totally doable, but does it really make a difference in this game?
Diagnostics is kinda there IIRC, but it would be awesome to get a more realistic presentation. Part damage/wear& tear seems awesome. Inertia switch should be easy to implement, engine stalls in a bump exceeding "x" G's
At the moment diagnostics would be kind pointless and if fuel shutoff gets added I want it to be a select-able part, so you could still do demolition derbies and stuff.
Sure. Your second idea is great. When the career mode comes out and you just damaged your cars and then you can just buy those blown struts, old engine and crappy brakes or smthing that risks damaging your car and u only buy it because u need it in emergency
