look, the person who was helping me decided not to log on since my last post sooo, unless someone wants to take his place, yeah, its dead... would be happy to get it up and running again though.
There's a technique called baking. It uses a high poly model and turns it into a lower poly model using the high res mesh as as a template for the mesh and a texture map. I have a friend that does this rather well, and the results are amazing! The part looks just as good with a fraction of the polys.
