My point is that he needs more options.

1920x1200 on three screens add up to 5760x1200 or 6048x1200 with bezel compensation turned on.

4K looks absolutely amazing, even games that don't make use of high resolution textures look breath taking. Unfortunately I have kinda stopped noticing that, probably not a bad thing, I like to be immersed into games.

4K would be great if you didn't need £1000 worth of GPU to get a decent framerate. It does look very nice though.

Yeah, I must admit, even the 295x2 struggles with some games at 4k (BeamNG has the most devastating effect on performance), but it can generally run everything on high-ultra @ 4k and if not, then i knock it down to either medium settings or 2K.

I have a 1920x1080 Dell monitor from last year with minor ghosting issues, and a Samsung Syncmaster 173s from 2004 @ 1280x1024 with no ghosting issues.

NEC MultiSync LCD1530V 15.1"... in black!

    1024 x 768 at 75 Hz
    4:3 aspect ratio

I would get rid of it, but don't want to dispose of it as I would need to drop it off at a hazardous waste bin (damn mercury!).

Keep it as a second monitor or for another computer.

Always a very good idea. Only thing that would make that silly would be lack of space, but I think a 15" 4:3 won't be a problem.
