I have a couple ideas from the past of BeamNG and RoR that would fair greatly in our current game. Cinematic Camera: It was in RoR and I loved using it when jumping, and is much more convenient than hitting Shift+C then finding an angle. What if you're lazy? Hitching: In RoR you could hit L to lock an item and O to secure an item in certain areas, and it was so much fun to mess with. I would purposely attach cars outside of the Skyvan aircraft. It was a fun time Chase AI: Suggested countless times but none really gave an explanation to why it's needed. It was in the past but it never really was available on the roads. I say maybe an AI similar to the police in GTA V, they take the roads and when they get X amound of meters away they go full ham towards you. Image GUI for parts: It would be nice to see what you're putting on your car before you put it on. Maybe mousing over an item will show an example of X item on a car. Damage Textures: Possibly when a car catches fire, it could crust up or turn black. Maybe when you scratch a wall your car will have paint peel off it rather than coming off unscaved. Water Detail and Physics: In the future, will it ever happen when you jump into the water, maybe it causes waves in a circular area? At least a splash effect or a white trail behind boats/buoyant vehicles Tire physics: Tires have been updated a lot recently but they still sort of hang bits on. It would be cool if driving a car with thin tires, then trying to drift will result in the tire slipping off, or when a tire pops/blows up it has rubber fly off everywhere. Rim physics: If a car has rims and not hubcabs, maybe the spokes can rip apart or come out, making a floppy wheel. Headlight fix: Too yellow. Way too yellow. It seems a bit unrealistic that the Vanster gives off a banana-yellow glow. Cars rip apart: It's a bit awkward when you stretch a car, and it's super realistic and amazing that the Barstow's front can rip off with enough force. More of this on other cars? Articulating bus: 'Nuff said. Minivans: I haven't seen any minivans yet, and there were only 2 in RoR, one of which was banned for being from Driver SF with no credit. I think a early 2000s style Mazda-like minivan would fit well in BeamNG. Small Extras: Horns and blinker sounds? Yes I know theres a mod already for this. Plastic If plastic is on a car it would be amazing if it could shatter and get holes in it. I would do this myself and I am taking a class in game development/modeling in a year. I hope to see at least one of these in BNG by then, unless it's too much to ask.
Many people, including me, really want minivans in BeamNG, so maybe the devs will talk about it in their upcoming blog post.
Minivans are just so common now, they went out of fad between 2009-2013 but they're coming back more, and it would be amazing to see a modern, sharp van in BNG.
