So I wanted to see if "the knight" is up to the task of VR. here are the results. its a "mid" level system (by today's standards) I7-3770K (stock clocks) ASUS AMD 380X (Oc'ed edition) 12GB RAM
Apparently I am going to need a SECOND GTX 980Ti to get my system up to the Recommended specification!
Wow, the VR are power hungry.. I was like I hope, I can atleast land in the "capable" section.. lol FPS was between 101-108
I know I am somewhere north of 110fps but I donno how much by but I am 4mm away (YES I MEASURED IT!) from Capable maybe a second GPU will help out...time to get saving!
4mm, with varying screen dpis and scaling settings, a measured distance on screen is an entirely meaningless value.
My system is fairly old with a modern upper mid end GPU in it. Seems to be fine. Hopefully I will have stockpiled enough money to get one when they are released to get myself some proper VR as opposed to a Galaxy S2 wedged in a cardboard contraption
Yah amd has it's liquidVr but honestly i don't if it's going to catch wind, now it just seems proof of concept. Or have i missed something here.
Well, it would seem the test has some variation. In reality if the 380x is behind the 970 it likely won't be by much especially when you consider that different games may favour AMD or nvidia. AMD are also known for being a bit slow on the driver side of things, so it may also get a bit faster when they get round to optimising their drivers a bit better.
