http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2011-F...ash=item2c9aa43f7f:g:pH4AAOSwxp9W2c-S&vxp=mtr I decided to go with these lights. I just ordered them. --- Post updated --- Sometime in the next month or two im going to get the vic resprayed a nice gloss black. Havent decided where ill have it done at, still weary of macco, but then again it was their 400$ job, and i would be willing to spend around $800. This is my end goal.
It needs a clean but then i'm guessing if you clean it it would get dirty pretty quickly.hopefully you have a working heater as it must get pretty cold up there.
Funny you should mention the heater; the fan's had it or something and so it takes quite some time for the heat to permeate the interior. Especially if you're in motion, probably because of the rusty doors. Fortunately this has been a pretty warm winter here in southcentral, don't think I've seen sub-zero Fahrenheit yet. As for the dirt, it's a toss-up. If the weather stays cold for a long time, the car could stay clean for a long time, but warm weather directly after cold causes the roads to load up with greasy, dirty water that then gets splashed all over your car. Since my windshield washers are broken too, sudden thaws have a tendency to be rather "fun".
Do not go with macco, had them fix some body damage and I had to have it painted again by a different company. They completely missed the clear coat, then tried to respray it with a different shade of color than the car and clear coated it over thinking it wouldn't show, and then it rusted before I got it redone.
I'm getting started with my respray too huehuehue. I keep putting off my springs and wheels, but they'll go on soon. By soon, I mean probably this year.
The week before I bought the car, the guy had it painted white at maaco. SO it is about a 4 month old paintjob, and it is peeling like a 30 year old paintjob. I can literally take a fingernail to it and take it off chunk by chunk. However he did get the 400$ job. I doubt their pricier ones are any better tho.
I think a garret gt28r would go perfect with your setup. It will spool fast and early and make at least 280 at the wheel. I'm not familiar with miata engines. How good are the cylinder walls and what's your compression ratio?
turbo miata is a regularly done thing although I think he's mentioned supercharger as a future plan instead. my disliking of miatas is increasing though. http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/St-...d-broken-leg/story-28883583-detail/story.html car in question was a miata. Girl is one of my sisters
