So here is my first ever map for BeamNG. As the title states, it is going to be a hardcore offroad only map. Trails will be based off of east and west coast 4 wheeling styles such as rock bouncing and rock crawling. For now I am just using rocks that have already been provided by the game. Maybe later I will make my own rocks like I did for my maps in RoR. This map is made in the T3D Terrain editor and will only be 256x256.
Yes, I was waiting for you or Straubz to make a offroad map. Your Hillside offroad park was by far my favorite terrain in RigsofRods. Can't wait to see what you got in mind this time. I hope to see some nasty ruts and a couple of mud pits. Maybe a slippery waterfall crawl?
love how the map looks so far! but if I can make suggestion, if you sink the rocks down into the dirt it will give it a more realistic look and feel when crawling as natural rocks are mostly stuck into the ground rather than sitting on top of the dirt. that's just my 2 sense but other than that great job and I'm looking forward to start crawling this bad boy
Actually most of them are sunk in, just not on the small rocks because im restricted on poly count since im using the T3D editor. Thats how i do all my maps. Just hard to see. Appreciate it though.
I have it set at 1. I would like to do it that way but my computer can barely handle BeamNG. I average about 21 fps
damn i should visit these forums more often, i have no idea how i missed this. Good to see you making some stuff on here, shame about the fps though.
