Skid Marks Create Intense Lag

There isn't much more to add other than the title...
Whenever my car goes into a skid my FPS goes down from 60 to 5-15. It does not have to be a large skid, even a light skid will cause the lag. I'd like to disable the skids marks if possible, or if there is another fix I can do that too.

What is your computer specs?
What map are you on?
Are you running on High Performance power plan?
Press F11 ingame > goto Decals Editor> Tire marks> and post a screenshot of the settings

 

Uh... The 1st and 3rd questions make no sense as he said he has 60 fps without skidding, no computer parts or power plan will make decals murder the framerate on their own.

I am running the latest version 0.5.3.

I have solved the problem (found out how to turn it off completely), but the issue still needs to be addressed. My computer can handle this game, and should be able to handle skid marks... I don't recall this occurring when I first started playing months ago. I have many mods installed, just maps and vehicles.
