So I just bought the game a few days ago, and what I have noticed is this: When I spawn a car like the civetta bolide or Ibushu Covet, I get usually 50-70 frames per second, but when I spawn a bigger car like the Grand Marshal or the van or pickup truck, I get 23-29 fps. I Have a Core 2 quad 2.66 processor, 8 gb of ram, and an ATI Radeon 7750. I figured that I should be getting much better performance than this with my desktop. Another thing I have noticed; every .exe in my beamng folder is an x86, I was wondering if there was a way I could get a x64 version? I have tried putting all the setting to the lowest but it makes no difference and is the same as when they are all high. Thanks for any help.

The x64 bit version isn't out yet, last I heard they were still working on it. Also isn't the core 2 quad an older processor?

Ive noticed a lot of people with lag issues I being one of them have core 2 quads which again leads me to believe, that it is caused by pour optimization for early intel quad core processors.

I have the same CPU and I get the same thing. 3+ cars causes major lag. It might just be our CPU or lack of x64 bit optimization.

The Core 2 Processor is a little old (2006-2011). 8 GB of RAM is good. The ATI/AMD Radeon 7750 is a fast middle-class GPU, which should be enough, maybe not for fully maxed settings, but it should be fine. I think your weakest link is your processor, but for a game in Alpha stage I believe lag is pretty common.

[If I made a mistake about the specs in this post please correct me]

I doubt it being the cpu my core 2 quad is only at 50- 60% usage in beamng

Your core 2 quad runs at 2.66 ghz per core. I have an AMD FX-4100 quad running at 3.6ghz per core and I still get poor performance in some situations.

It's known that the game runs badly with AMD CPU's, even the 8 cores. As for the graphics, if Intel HD 4000 can run the game, then any dedicated GPU newer than 4 years should be fully capable of handling it.
    EDIT@BELOW
My Geforce GTX 260 (slight OC) tanks through the game maxed with no complaints. The HD 4000 is on my laptop.

just be sure that the card is actually a newer card and not an old one that they've been making for ever. (8400 gs, geforce 210, some radeon cards)

    and a 500w psu

    ^
capable of a steady 50fps on farcry 3 on high/medium settings gets 20-25 on beamng with less cpu/gpu usage >_> beamng y u no make sense
